Be happy with what you have, with who you are <3
My boyfriend came home for a bit today and we napped. We rarely ever sleep without at least some physical contact and it always makes me think about how otters hold hands when they sleep so they don't float away. At one point, we were sleeping with our backs pressed together and it felt nice. And then I rolled over and he looked just right. He always looks just right.
There's beauty in the smallest moments. Find it. Hold onto it. It will save you when everything else is crumbling around you. ❤
@Xjanex
Reading this melt my heart. It's really so sweet, I'm glad you had this small beautiful moment.
@Xjanex
It reminds me of my relationship with my cat. In a good way, knowing I'd be cuddling my cat soon keeps me going sometimes
@Iamwhoiam94
That's lovely. We have 3 cats. If we owned a home, we would probably have a zoo by now. 😹
I talk a lot about gratefulness because it's probably the best change I ever made to my life: learning to look for things to be grateful for, even when, especially when, things are hard. When I was single and I had a rough day, I would come home and love my cats and say, "At least kitties have fuzzy bellies."
If you practice it enough, it becomes a compulsive habit-- like, you can actually re-wire your brain, to some extent, to look for good things instead of getting stuck in the loop of negative thinking.
