"Life is like a swimming pool. Typically, people like swimming pools so the water in the pool represents positive things. Now say some little kid comes along and accidents you poops in the pool. The poop, of course, represents something negative. Now since the pool has poop floating in it, the whole pool has to be drained, cleaned, and refilled. Which is a hopelessly slow process.
