Which object from your past or present still has the power to give you comfort , warmth , happiness , a glow and a smile on your face ?
i know that it's really stupid but i have a really strange attachment to a certain blanket, it's not fancy or anything, and it's full of holes and such, but i love it a lot and it brings me a lot of comfort.. my mom gave it to me after her sister gave it to her in a 2016 white elephant thing.. but now i can never sleep without it
@weeweeonion how lovely. You are wrapped in your mama's love.

Old photos, old happy memories. cartoons from my childhood
Now, it's music, my art, movies/tv-series/anime, helps me get lost in my world, away from this one
@bubbleSky5248, Art is very soothing indeed. Mmm... I was wondering if you draw animes or fantasy related art.
The concept of happiness, for me, has been very elusive. I truly cannot define it by a tangibleness. As a child, I always found myself daydreaming thinking of years to come and the adventures and great things I would be able and allowed to do. And then as a young woman, again, looking ahead to what would come once I achieved certain goals. Today, I am a fully grown woman who has experienced much, like so many of us have, I still find myself stuck when people ask, "Are you happy?" It is such an ethereal concept to me. I am a conundrum of feelings. I feel blessed and thankful to have health, a non glamorous helping career I adore, and people I love, but I still have that small child in me who is always looking to the happy that will come. It is a hard thing. For me, happy comes in the faint breath of a moment that has not unfolded yet.
@CognitiveGrowthCreatesChange , I can relate to you regarding " The little young child " who has not fully experienced happiness though the adult is actually happy and feeling good. Someone told me to explore , befriend and make peace with my inner child . This helped the child inside me understand and embrace the reality as how it is in the adult world. Maybe you could try that.
The handwritten letters I received and started collecting since I was in elementary school! :) <3
OMG , @purpleyou7. That is an amazing collection you have. Wow
thank you 🥺
Unfortunately, I do not have one.
It is okay @pluckyMoon0531. Maybe you will come across it one of these days . It can be anything ....... . Just to share with you ,.. for some reason , I always smile when I see a cup of hot coffee . The smell/aroma and the sight of the vapor makes me smile . It is not about the taste . It can be a cup of coffee from a vending machine but I still smile .
My sister gifted me a key ring with my name when she went visiting Dehradun (a wonderful place!) I was upset that I couldn't go and that gift just cheered me up! ☺️
@notafraidtospeak, I have heard of Dehradun. A lovely place near the Himalayan . How kind of your sister
The gesture sure was! Thank you for replying. 😁
