Dont

Take it from a person with an ed experience, if you feel like you cant tell your family and you know how your family is dont tell them because sometimes you think you feel alone knowing you the only one that knows about ur ed but telling your family will make you feel even more alone (they dont understand mental illness as well as you do)

I agree, I told just my sister and couldn’t tell her everything about it, I feel that my parents will not understand why it’s happening and how they didn’t notice even though I’ve been dealing with it for more than 20years .. on and off

I agree that boundaries are definitely important- if telling a specific someone is going to wind up hurting you more, don't tell that person. The most important thing is to make sure you have other people who can actually support you and help you get further help if needed. That being said, I was so stubborn about admitting that I had anorexia and so embarrassed about asking for help, that I didn't reach out to my parents until my life was in danger. They definitely aren't the ideal people to talk mental health with, but they at least paid for my treatment/drove me up to the hospital/dropped me off so that better qualified people could actually handle me. So, that's just to say, keep healthy boundaries, but also don't dismiss people who could drive you places if you're having an emergency.
