Calorie counting
I feel like I can't stop calorie counting and tracking my exercise/ calories burned in a day. Anyone else struggling with this? Any tips? It's so hard not being able to go to the gym and being cooped up at home

So relateable, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. It's really tough. I'm here for you
@Aprilshowers7 Try to not do it. Yes it sounds easy and impossible at the same, but just deleting the apps for tracking can help with you not doing it. Mostly bc it's harder to do it without an app, and that can maybe make you stop :)

I
@Aprilshowers7 I have struggled in the past and still fall back into bad habits. Especially during the quaratine, it is hard not to focus on it! What has helped me A LOT is to focus on quality of calories over quantity of calories. It is definitely easier said than done, but I found it effective to challenge myself to a day or two of not counting calories, and just eating clean and wholesome. Then I'd assess how I felt, not how I felt that I looked. Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full. I have a lot of tips and tricks for eating soundly too if you're interested!
@Aprilshowers7 Definetly have and continue to struggle with this-I have been trying to encourage myself to think of food as fuel not as good or bad but needed so that I have energy throughout the day and can make the most of my days. Deleting calorie counting apps has helped (though I've kept Recovery Record to send me meal reminders and so that I can document how I'm feeling). I also think a huge part of it (especially in quarantine) has been me feeling guilty for eating even though I'm not going anywhere so encouraging myself to do at least one thing a day to get me moving (whether its going on a walk or doing something you enjoy) since physical activity is a mood boost in itself. Wishing you all the best and sending you good vibes and love-hoping some of this might be helpful for you
