I'll start: My name is Olivia. I have really been into crocheting lately, once I have free time from schoolwork. A random fact about me is that I have been to tons and tons of concerts and get super crazy about them, even though I'm naturally shy. It's like it brings out another side of me. Two qualities I'd like in a friend are that they must be able to geek out with me to music, and they must love dogs!

Hi my name is June. I like cooking and trying new recipes. I do yoga to relax and unwind. I recently moved and haven't met many people in this town yet. I love poetry and writing poems. I'm " over 30" and can relate to many problems because I've been there..done that:) I don't judge people because I don't like being judged. I'm honest, trustworthy and cherish my friends. If you need a friend to talk to I understand because I do too.

Hi pear, I am just over 40 :). Same thing here. I'm isolated, know no one I feel I can really go and talk to. I practice yoga and it helped a lot. I stopped and have my first noticeable sign of depression.
Hi polite. Nice to meet you. I found that yoga helped me to unwind and sleep better. I think it's the deep breathing and controlled breaths that helped. I also feel signs of depression. I know I have several valid reasons to be depressed but I don't want to give in to them. So glad you answered my post :)

Well we are young at heart and rich with experience. I don't realize I'm older until I look in mirror..:) a lot of young people are on here but our mature heart hurts too. Glad we found each other.

Hey Broke! I'm not teenager :) I'm 28 and my best friend is 40 :D unfortunately I'm not in or from UK. I'm from middle east. Why r u feeling down lately? I'm feeling down too sadly! My eyes are more opened to my life and I'm understanding more that everyone around me try to put me down. Even my friends from years. And I find my self all the time blamed and hearing negative comments and even if it is by joking but it's harsh and they don't do it to each other. Only to me! Hi cups, my work involves me supporting others with serious mental health problems, it's great to be able to make others feel better but once I leave and come home to my empty house I feel like I'm the one who needs support. I have to smile and motivate by day but I cry and isolate myself by night. I'm doing part time now and even that is beginning to feel to much for me.
Oh that must be depressing. I'm sorry for how u feel? How about some sort of activity that would kill the isolation? R u enjoying 7cups? Did u meet some good listeners? I do talk with them when I feel depressed. I feel depressed even with my friends sometimes! I really with to catch u once in the chatting room
My biggest activity at the moment is getting up to grab a coffee! I've not spoken to anyone 1on1I wouldn't know where to start. I know I won't see anyone until I go back to work on Tuesday. The solitude is bad news when your head is at a most of the time.
Well 1 on 1 listeners most of them are very nice and u can start by saying I'm bored. I feel lonely. Anything u want. It's realllllllly a great thing here at least for me. Broke what about friends, family or partner?
Haven't had a partner for 6 yrs it's easier this way,I don't have to explain myself to anyone. I don't have family really as I grew up in a children's home. I do have a daughter same age as you actually, but she's busy working and having a life.. She is very good to me though and helps a lot
I'm sorry if I interfered in ur personal life. Of course u don't have to explain ur self to any1. And I agree with you that sometimes life is easier without a partner. I have a partner which I didn't see in 4 years due to some awful circumstances and now I don't have feelings for him anymore. It's a very weird feeling. It's amazing that u have a lovely daughter and I'm sure she is lucky to have u. I'm sorry again if I my questions were too personal.

I'm 33 years old and have depression off and on for a while, as well as anxiety for many years. My life is very small and simple with a few friends and little joy. I also struggle very much with loneliness. I have had no real relationship for about 3 years and have had no real family around. I hate being alone but also welcome it at times because it is less drama and disappointment. I'd like to find and talk to others who understand.
