Happy World Kindness Day! "Showing kindness to others can help you out of depression? It may seem counter-intuitive, but itโ€™s true. Researchers have found that depressed people who showed kindness experienced improvements that other known depression and anxiety management techniques do not provide" (Hope Mental Health , 2024).

Here's your daily reminder to be kind to yourself and others! ๐Ÿ’•screenshot-2024-1113-160015_1731541364.jpg

I firmly disagree with the first statement in the meme. In my case, kindness cost several thousand ๐Ÿ’ฒ๐Ÿ’ฒ that I will never get back. Kindness is an essential trait to have, yes...but one must be careful as to whom one directs one's kindness towards.

@slowdecline48 Hey there! I'm sorry that was your experience. It is true we must be mindful of who we are directing our kindness to because unfortunately not everyone has good intentions and there are people who prey on kind persons and take advantage of them. However, I believe the graphic was referring to being kind to others because you never know what they're going through; going out of your way to be rude or mean to others is costly whether people are aware of that or not. Whilst yes not everyone deserves our kindness it doesn't mean that we cannot show a bit of kindness to the ones that deserve it.

Have a blessed day,

Angelanj ๐Ÿซ‚ย
