The One Thing I Do When I'm Depressed is...
What is the one thing you do to help yourself feel better when you're experiencing depression? It can be anything at all, even simple things such as a longer warmer shower and listening to music or sounds of nature before bed.
Eat and sleep, but I try to get out.
Overdose on my pills
When i get depressed i just stop functioning. I go to school and dont talk to anyone and zone out in class and do nothing at home. I dont sleep or eat and its a pretty bad cycle.
I don't eat.
I just cry or verbally abuse myself
When I get depressed and acknowledge it I try to be pro-active and force myself to listen to uplifting music, I try to stay away from negitive influences as much as I can and I keep in prayer, this has been a long journey for me, ive come from being suicidal, burning, anorexia and other self harm to this point were I am actively battling my depression and winning, I have not harmed myself physically or had a thought of suicide in 15 years now, I never thought I would ever rise above this but I have and actually have hope again that I will continue to win over this

This is hard for you I am so sorry. That is exactly what I've been going through Dear! When things become too much to handle I feel so out of control and also had a tendency to engage in those harmful acts to help me ease the pain/stress. Although I wouldn't recommend it! One time when I got into fight with my dad - rather about a silly matter, he spoke in a very loud/unpleasant tone complaining that you never do anything right, saying that (I wished you were never born and you should be admitted to a Mental Health Institute, and I doubt you will ever be successful unless you change your attitude). I hear those comments every single day! ''Hey you are suffering from Personality Borderline Disorder!'' "You are sick!" How can I not feel bad about it? I'll say the abuser will always blame somebody else and they never stop! I may sound a bit harsh but my life is really far from bright! I can understand your situation too. It's awful, trust me! We are here to support each other through these times, and I would like to do that.

I may have gone over the board with this. I realize this is the place to talk about battling with depression, and I just lost it - Went all the way talking about my story! But I guess that's Ok.
Each of you matter and this isn't forever
