This week's prompt: What are the common negative self-talk phrases that you often find yourself saying? Are these thoughts helping or hindering your progress?
Negative self-talk can be a challenging habit to break. It can drain our confidence, hinder our progress, and create a cycle of negativity in our lives. But with the right support and tools, we can begin to reframe our negative self-talk and cultivate a more positive mindset. Please know all thoughts and experiences are valid so no matter how small or big it seems, do share with us and we will discuss our thoughts on it together.

I'm such a failure and everyone hates me. The choices you made we're stupid and no one is going to forgive you.
@unassumingPeach6421 It sounds like you are experiencing a lot of difficult emotions right now. Feeling like a failure and believing that others hate you can be really hard to cope with. What matters most is how you're feeling inside. Would you like to share more about what's contributing to these difficult thoughts?
I just keep asking- what’s wrong with me?
why am I so alone all of the time? Why don’t people see me?
I try to remember that it is my choice to…. Be home, or to not show up at the Christmas party, or to not keep reaching out because I feel like I’m “bothering” people…..
but I am really struggling with the thought that I’m the common trend in it all and I’m constantly lonely. Yeeeesh, this year has been rough!
@convivialTangerine8704 I am sorry to hear that Tangerine. It sounds like loneliness and feelings of not being seen have really weighed on you this year. Those struggles can be so difficult to face alone. What thoughts or feelings come up most when you reflect on wanting to feel connected to others?
I just do t feel like I am around people that I can be myself with
I'm ugly, it's too hard, I can't do it. It's not fair.
I think they're helping AND hindering me; they're a challenge and showing me how strong, courageous and wise I am as I face them and learn from them. Yet they are also absolutely hindering me. Double edged sword.
What matters most to you in your days that could help you feel less stuck in a loop?
Being rather than doing. I try remember I'm a human being, not a human doing. Then make an effort to embody that. 🧐
@communicativePond1728 oops
@communicativePond1728 That sounds like a good idea! You seem to have some ideas of what might help you feel better on the inside.
@ASilentObserver not really. Intellectualizing something is different than embodying it.
@ASilentObserver
I think the most loud negative thoughts are that I’m worthless. Like that I’m not good enough for anyone and I’ll never amount to anything. It also turns into body shaming myself and just general hate for myself.
Not organised enough here. Starting to be more forgetful with age, but hey..
