Definitely time to restock my art supplies for working with pastels, do you have any favourite tips or tricks when working with pastel?
@EmotionsListener these are my first 3 sketchs from oil pastels.
i can tell my approach to learning oil pastel. shading all the colours from dark to light i had in the pack . then trying blending with picking diferent colors. glazing , scraping few techniques which u can practice by picking 2-3 oil pastel color and comparing the result. u can try to create different texture with your oil pastels and how u can control the width of the stroke. for creating fine line you can use tooth pick or some other pin like shape.
