1. Pick one Content Article from the Expert Section - It is recommended to pick one that matches your choice of a focus area/topic.
Assertive Communication: 8 Tips For The Art of Calm, Confident Speaking (one of only 2 articles in the Chronic Pain tag).
2. Mention 3 top strengths of the article in terms of Best Practices.
1. Introductory paragraph explains the why of the article.
2. The article is concise but thoroughly explains each tip.
3. Language used is conversational, not overly formal.
3. Review the Article for EAT (expertise, authority and trustworthiness) and list at least 2 comments for each of the three factors (can be things followed or tips to boost EAT).
Expertise:
The formatting of this article is Comprehensive yet Digestible, the list format with bold type followed by explanations make it easy to understand each point.
Since there are no sources cited we don’t know that this article has any research behind it.
Authority:
As mentioned in Expertise, other than the fact that the author is listed as “a licensed mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field” there is no citing of sources or science behind the given tips. A mention of what science backs up these tips could improve the EAT rating of this article.
I am doubtful this article has been highly shared as it does not show up easily in search engines and only links to the Relationships subcommunity.
Trustworthiness:
The one-line bio and image of the author increase trustworthiness of this article.
The additional articles by this author linked below it as well as related articles also help with trustworthiness.
4. Create a graphic to promote your selected content - remember to consider our previously discussed tips as well as peer feedback. Consider using your pseudonym or username if comfortable on the graphic in case of allowing social media usage.
@BlueTurtle5
You used the best writing practices really well to show the strengths of the article, and the EAT guidelines to format your response to the third part which made really good judgements :), I love your graphic! The background has such cool colours and I love how you included the logo, and the people in it give it a much more personal and human touch :).
@Izzy274 Thank you!
@BlueTurtle5 Nice Job.
Well thought out.
@Happy900
Thsnk you!
@BlueTurtle5 Your welcomed.

- Article: How to Set Healthy Boundaries With Your Folks
-
Three strengths:
- Concise but thorough, with a conversational tone to the article
- Usage of authentic sources (University of California, Berkeley) for research purpose
- Linked other useful 7 Cups articles (3 Ways to Be a Better Listener, Dealing With Toxic Family Relationships)
-
EAT:
- Expertise: explores the three categories of boundaries, is well-researched but also digestible. Also uses backlinks. Keywords and key phrases are also in bold.
- Authority: Published on 7 Cups, a platform with a Wikipedia page. The content is also very relevant and can be shared across platforms.
- Trust: The site the article is published on is reliable. Moreover, the bio of the author states that she is pursuing graduate studies in counselling psychology, which adds to the trustworthiness of the article.
4. The caption of the post would elaborate a bit on these 5 points, taken from the article itself.
@caffeinatedcatio Sorry, don't know where all that blank space came from! :<
@caffeinatedcatio
This has nothing to do with your actual writing, but the way you formatted your answers was really nice! On the actual commentary, I completely agree with the strengths you listed. I loved your graphic! It lists all the points made in the article in an aesthetically and easy-to-read way! Great job :D
@sereneMango3007 Thank you so much!
@SoulfullyAButterfly
1. https://www.7cups.com/experts/what-causes-depression
2. I really liked how the article was concise and accessible. It was an easy read that gives a reader hope, despite the heaviness of the topic.
3. The author lists their credentials and occupation. The reader can tell the article is well researched while being a form that is easy to digest. It's a bit difficult to determine the authority of the article since this is on 7 Cups and not a social media platform. I'd assume that the branding and shares would be high if posted online. The author is trustworthy because they include the links of various sources for additional information. Their credentials and occupations are shown at the bottom of the page as well.

@sereneMango3007
First of all, I think you've chosen a very interesting article! Secondly, I'd say I can agree with most of your feedback expect for the accesibilty. In my opinion the expert's text could have been a little bit better structured so that it's easier to read - that might be a personal preference though.
Your image is wonderful! I think it's very good to promote the article on social media :)

Pick one Content Article from the Expert Section - It is recommended to pick one that matches your choice of a focus area/topic.
I picked 'Setting Healthy Boundaries' from the anxiety section: Setting Healthy Boundaries | 7 Cups -
Mention 3 top strengths of the article in terms of Best Practices.
- They made the article really concise by keeping straight to the topic and stating lots of options for setting healthy boundaries and how to do this such as - 'It is helpful to use very few words and be specific when you communicate so he or anyone else you're working on boundary setting does not feel attacked.'
- They were conversational and accessible in the tone used which made it a lot friendlier and easier to understand - ' You are more likely to go overboard and set your partner a task of cleaning the kitchen every day for a whole year (if you know what I mean!!) I'
- They were really thorough in saying what setting healthy boundaries actually involves - ' Boundaries help us to develop intimate relationships so once you set them you'll see that you blossom into maturity too and you're able to handle relationships with more ease too. Healthy boundaries help us to withstand manipulation and empower us to welcome the good things into our lives!' -
Review the Article for EAT (expertise, authority and trustworthiness) and list at
least 2 comments for each of the three factors (can be things followed or tips to boost EAT).
Expertise:
- The writer was a professional counsellor and so definitely had the expertise to write the article. They have also written lots of other articles on 7 Cups which increases their credentials
- It seems like their article might have been research based however they did not name any research or cite any sources fso perhaps it is not. However it does contain lots of keywords related to the topic which increases their expertise.
- The content is definitely digestible and understandable and it is formatted in easy to read paragraphs. The content was explained really well to readers.
- They also backlinked a lot to the 7 Cups boundaries guide which helps to give supplementary information on the topic.
Authority:
- They didn't cite any sources so perhaps this is something they could add in to other articles so people can see where the information has come from and find out more.
- The content of this particular article hasn't been shared much outside of 7 Cups, so perhaps linking it on social media or other sites might help boost the content.
- The writer of this article is not on wikipedia however 7 Cups as a whole is which increases the authority of the article.
Trust:
- The writer of this source has an about page on 7 Cups where you can find out more about her and her profession which helps to improve the validity of her writing.
- A link to the page about her is included at the bottom of the article, encouraging readers to learn more about her and improve their trust in her which is really good. -
Create a graphic to promote your selected content - remember to consider our previously discussed tips as well as peer feedback. Consider using your pseudonym or username if comfortable on the graphic in case of allowing social media usage.
@Izzy274
Oh wow! I have to say I loveeeee your artwork! The lady drinking looks so calm, cool and chilled. It's a great representation of self-care & boundaries. Also, the chosen font and color palette suit my taste big time.
I also found your answers to be very detailed, you don't just write one short sentence but give an example to illustrate the point you are trying to make.
Regarding the Authority part, I think your feedback related to how the articles are not shared much outside of 7cups is constructive. I think this is a slight issue happening with many articles here, so valid point right there.
Awesome job, well done!
@kindLemonade
Thank you so much for your kind feedback Lemonade (:
