This thread serves as progress reports for CDM Program.

Which discussion was the last you completed?
I completed Topic 5, working on Topic 6.
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
I didn’t finish Topic 6. I’m trying to get through the coursework.
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
Time management. Despite a busy week, I completed most of what I set out to do.

Which discussion was the last you completed?
- I completed all the discussion topics, had my first article submission approved and I turned in both of my further practical experience option assignments! Lastly, I turned in my last step form towards graduation 🎓✨️☕️
What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
- None! I'm getting better with balance and equanimity

- Really just believing in myself more 😌

Weekly Progress:
1. Which discussion was the last you completed?
This was my first week in the CDM Program, so far I have managed to complete D2: Community Questions and Answers - The Basis of Mental Health Awareness and Support.
2. What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
The second task made me rack my brain a bit, but I wouldn't say it was difficult. I enjoyed the challenge :)
3. What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
I wasn't been able to do much, but I am glad about my current progress since I am doing a few other activities at the same time.
Something that always helps me with my writing tasks/ or any general task is proofreading several times in different ways. A swift skim through the text, then a thorough scan. Next, silently reading it out helps catch grammar errors and also helps with fluency! :)
I’ve already finished all of the discussions so I haven’t done one this week!
I’ve struggled to find the time to finish my first article this week, but I’m planning to have it done by the end of the week and still have plenty of time left so it’s not a reason to stress.

i was told to be a mentor you have to have a certain listening level is this true?

The general requirements are verified listener and no serious behavior report in the last 3 months.
It is preferable a graduate from the program and highly encouraged to take a Chat Support training.
Training to do the task/s is provided by the program.

- What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around? Discussion 2 my answer did not follow the suggestion as it is not my normal practice just to give tips and not procedures , but I am trying to put some open question for client to do own processes .
- What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others. My first time I read though the introduction I feel a lot of struggled, after first step , more familiar now , though still find difficult but at least move a small step.

- The skills I've learned in the program have helped me create lovely content and graphics for the Healthy Living subcommunity

- I am more aware of deadlines. Use the resources provided and do the best you can.

What are some things you struggled with or didn't quite get right the first time around?
- I am having trouble focusing. I am also thinking of revisiting the first four assignments and feedback to get back into the groove and make amendments for Team Lightship or Social Media Contributions.
What went well? Share some tips you find helpful to help others.
- I read through the time line materials and I find it motivating. Even though I have other commitments, I carve out at least an hour a few times a week to get involved and help on 7 Cups.
