Sharing work wisdom
Hi hi, lovely humans!👋
🧡Happy Cupsgiving!🧡
Sooo, today's theme is Sharing Wisdom (which btw feels a little heavy, ngl, but hey, we love a good deep dive now and then, right?). Anyway, it got me thinking, like, how much random wisdom we accidentally pick up just by... existing at work? You know, those moments where you're like, "Wait. What just happened? Did I actually learn something from that mess?" or like, "Wow, that was... oddly profound for a Monday morning."
For example (and don't laugh): once, I literally forgot to unmute myself on Zoom for like... the entire meeting. Cringe central. But, plot twist, it taught me to triple-check before I speak. And to, you know, listen more😂little things like that, but they kinda stick with you, you know?
So, I wanna know, have you had any of those !ohhh" or "huh, okay then" moments at work? Doesn't have to be deep or serious (though it totally can be if you feel like it), maybe its just something funny that taught you a lesson or like, an unexpected insight about yourself, or...idk, life in general?
Drop your stories, or just chill and read what others share (tthats totally cool too). No pressure, no rules here, except for like, be nice, obviously😅oh, and bonus points if your story involves coffee or snacks, because priorities☕🍩
Alright, im gonna stop rambling now (seriously, someone stop me lol). Can't wait to hear what you've got! Or not! Either way, wishing you a chill, wisdom-filled day. Or at least one without unmuted-Zoom-mishaps🙃

Ohhh, I’ve totally been there! 😅 I had a moment where I was on a zoom call and my internet connection decided to take a break right in the middle of me making a big point. Like, everything just froze. My face was stuck in this very serious expression and I had no idea if anyone could still hear me or if I was just… there, like a frozen statue. 🙈
@Phoenixthepoised
omg😂this actually happened to me once too, i just froze mid-sentence, like, "AND THATS WHY this is such a brilliant idea!" and...everyone thought i was literally just sitting there waiting for reactions. Like a statues hoping for applause (spoiler: there was none😅)
But seriously, can wer talk about how dramatic technology gets when it suddenly decides to give up? like its had enough of us and just nedds a break😂
So what did you do after that? Did you just roll with it or what happened?👀only if you feel like sharing of course, no pressure to relive it lol
@healingsoul4892
Haha, I totally get that! The tech drama is real! It’s like, “Oh, I see you're working on something important... yeah, I think I’m done here.” And then you’re left staring at a frozen screen like it’s some sort of betrayal. 😂
After that, I definitely leaned into the awkwardness. I made a big deal out of the freeze, like, “Well, guess that’s it for me!” and tried to laugh it off. But inside, I was dying. 😅 How about you?
I was over 21, had been at the particular job for 5yrs. And in the workforce for over 7yrs. During a meeting with my manager he literally had to tell me "do not argue with your supervisor." That was honestly a profound revelation to me because I've always been around arguing. He was the 1st person to ever say that to me.

whoa, okay, thats...whoa. like, seriously, you think you got it all figured out, and then BAM soomeone just drops that line. "Don't argue with your supervisor"? and you're justlike, wait, hold up first time hearing that? After all these years?? wild. props to your manager for being blunt though, honestly. Its those little moments that smack you in the face and make you go "Wait, have i been totally off here?" anyway, thanks for sharing. Its a good reminder that we're all still figuring it out, even when we think we're not. Hope that helped at least a little, huh?
