Overwhelmed, lost. No clue wtd.

Feel, stressed,worried, hard to breath, jaw pain, tight throat and lump in throat. Hard to breathe. Im new an dont understand what my triggers are. Im new to this. I never had it before and now.. boom.. I dont know where is came from and never had it before. I feel disconnected from my family, i get exhausted easyily.. Everything goes away at night time .It doesnt want to leave.. Im lost an dont know what to do..

Hello! I'm so glad that you found 7 Cups. You may not know what to do right now, but you are taking action by coming here. That's a great first step.

Understanding what your triggers are will take some time. They aren't always obvious. But while you're working to learn those, there are some immediate things that will help you when an anxiety attack happens.

Start with breathing first. It seems SO simple, but it's amazing what a few minutes of deep breathing can do when you're in an attack. Just stop for a moment, take a deep breath in through your nose to fill your lungs, hold it for 4-6 seconds, and then slowly breathe out through your mouth. Repeat that several times until you feel your anxiety easing.
