I'm so scared about my blood test
Hello everyone. I've been having some symptoms for a month since I came back from a trip, everyone says it's anxiety. Because I suffer from health anxiety and worry 24/7 I went to the doctors, and she said I had stomach issues. The next week I asked to get a blood test and finally yesterday I got it done.
Now I'm so anxious about getting the results and finding out I have something bad. Im so scared of being on my phone because they send the results via email. I'm terrified and don't know what to do, I'm 21 and have never really been sick (touch wood) so for me to be feeling symptoms for a month has made me so anxious.
Do any of you get actual physical symptoms because of anxiety? Chest pain, back pain, headaches, etc?
Thank you in advance ❤️

I tend to get lots of physical symptoms of stress and anxiety. I get headaches, nausea, sweating, trembling, and stomach problems.
I hope your blood tests come back okay!
If you need someone to talk to, Im here. I hope my answer helped a little.

@thiccwaluigi420 Thank you Alex! I do also hope everything is fine.
It's crazy how our mind works and can create these symptoms, to the point where it's hard for me to tell whether this is anxiety or I'm actually sick. I'm so scared of having to live with this fear for the rest of my life... I'm definitely considering therapy is my results come out alright and these are anxiety symptoms, do you do any kind of therapy?

I've had art therapy in the past because I had really bad social anxiety and I wasnt ready for talking therapy. That did help a little bit for me. However, I do know some people who have been to therapy, and they have found it quite helpful.
I do know some anxiety coping mechanisms that might be helpful for you. If youd like, I could share them with you? Im not saying theyll help you for sure, but they might be worth trying.
I really hope that you can find a way to cope with your anxiety. If you want to talk, I am here for you.
Hope you have a good day!

Anxiety can cause a variety of physical symptoms. I know someone who had such a bad anxiety attack he thought he was having a heart attack and went to emergency. (He was fine - it was just anxiety.)
Try not to be scared of test results. Look at them positively because, good or bad, they give you answers, and can help you know if you need to change something or if you're doing the right things for your body.
