I feel like I'm afraid of pretty much everything because of the severity of my traumas. I'm afraid of aging. I'm afraid of dying. I'm afraid of pain. I'm afraid of Hell. I'm afraid of being alone and having no friends or spouse ever. I'm afraid of sleeping. I'm afraid of weight gain. I'm afraid of never being mentally well. I'm afraid of health issues. I'm afraid of more abuse. I'm afraid of my family. I'm afraid of never seeing my abusive family again. I'm afraid of punishment. I'm afraid of things getting worse. I'm afraid of needing the hospital. I'm afraid of losing my cat. I'm afraid of failure. I'm afraid of never succeeding. I'm afraid of living...

@SweetTess91 hey it sounds like you are currently dealing with alot and its a really tough situation to be in. I guess things have been piling up for you and it feels like you are trapped in all of this. Its very natural to have fears like the ones you mentioned.

But just know that most of the times it's our mind playing with us making us suffer through the situations that might never happen , while your feelings are totally justified I think you should start by questioning these fears one by one, one step at a time , recognize the thinking patterns , if your brain is exaggerating stuff and making it all look scarier than it actually is. I'm sorry that you had to go through such traumatic experiences as led you to this point but tell yourself I'll not let these fears over whelm me when they are just a product of my mind . I mind that should be controlled by you not the other way around.

I hope you find the strength to cope with all this

@SweetTess91 It makes sense to spiral and think about the worst-case scenarios in life. Fear is natural because our anxiety is originally meant to function as a means of self-protection but that doesn't stop it from being extremely painful. I think venting about your anxieties and allowing yourself to accept that you're afraid of these things is a big step in self-awareness so it's worth at least taking solace in that.

One thing that I've seen be effective in regards to fear or anxiety, especially for abuse victims, is separating your nurturing wise self from the terrified inner child wounds. You can have a part of yourself be as afraid as you wholeheartedly feel and at the same time, work to comfort and heal them through your wise mind. Of course you're afraid of life, who in their right mind wouldn't be occasionally, although some of us take it more seriously than others. But you have so much time and so many opportunities to take steps to protect yourself, meet better people, and heal. For all the bad out there, there's also some good and it's only fair to try your best to take care of yourself so you can attract more of that.

Aging well is all about taking good care of yourself. If you're in the mood to, there's tons of skin care resources out there you can look into. I know for me sunscreen makes a big difference and trying to drink more water. Sleep is another part of aging well but that's a challenging one. Everybody has give or take, whatever works best for you.

You mentioned having an abusive family and the reason that made me think of the terms "inner child" and "inner child wounds" is because I watched a lot of content on that topic a few months ago and it helped in my healing journey a lot. There's a YouTube channel I watch called "Nu Mindframe" that talks about these topics as well as a lot of others if that one's not your style.

There's so much in life we don't have control over and that's absolutely terrifying. I can't promise you if things will get better or worse but what I can tell you is that your fears clearly just show that you care, a lot. Like for example, the most we can provide for our pets is a loving life while they are alive and it's good to appreciate that. We can't guarantee success but we can build up to it, little by little.

Hello there, Tess! Sorry that you're in pain and afraid of feeling more of it. It's totally okay as no one in this world wants pain. I just wanted to reach out and reassure you that you're fears and feelings are completely valid. You might hear (or think) that people are judging you or telling you that it's insane to feel so afraid of everything. But have they been walking in your shoes and have they took a look inside of you? I'm sure if these issues with trauma and abuse have been with you for a long time it isn't easy to live normally. I've personally dealt with a lot and I'm here to say that you didn't deserve to go through things that have caused you to completely change/or develop anxieties that you are overwhelmed with.

Hi Tess. I went through some of the same fears you're going through, and I'm currently going through some of them as well. Just wanna say that have patience to your fears, since you're only human. Some of them will pass, some will stay, some will get lighter. But things will change and you'll learn how to deal with them and help them ease.

@SweetTess91 I definitely can't give you advice or solve your fears. I'm currently worried about someajor things in my life as well. I wonder will I ever find anyone who loves me.

The one thing I can say is that at least you care. You obviously haven't stopped caring if you are afraid of losing things that mean a lot to you. I worry myself about getting so broken down that I'm numb and don't care anymore.

I hope things improve for you. This is a good place to start getting back on track.

Hey, I am sorry you feel that way. Being in a similar situation, I understand what you are going through. Living with fear and not having mental peace is not how we want our life to be. I started reiki therapy to overcome this problem. And it's something that I can recommend you as well.

You'll find it difficult as first but it really helps in the long term to reduce the anxiety and relax your mind. It's a simple process, completely natural.

I went through the reiki therapy at Psych Associates of Maryland. It has helped me boost my energy levels so much. I hope this helps you too. You're just one positive step away from improving your mental health.

@SweetTess91 hey tess thankyou so much for coming out of your shell and pen down so much of your emotions thankyou so much for sharing all your fears... It seems like you are facing so much already. Many things are already happening and due to those circumstances your mind is playing with your emotions but u know it's all in our head? We just need a faith and courage to get over... when we are in hard phases our mind play such mind games where we can feel fears of many type. Some of those are totally justifying the situation even some of your fears are mine I can relate and I totally understands how it feels like to be in such situation.. But u know what We can over come these fears one by one, I know sometimes its a situation that is making our thoughts negative but we can do whatever we wanted to right? Yes we can so we can think in a positive way too right?? Not all of sudden but we can start from some where right?? Let's say I'm afraid of losing my love ones that thought is justified totally.nobody wanted to lose them and almost many of us feels like it and It's ok to feel it. But we need to overcome of this situation if we'll be stuck in this how can we enjoy our time with our love ones?? So what try is to put our faith in gather our positive and meaningful thoughts in.. It's hard I know but it's not impossible I promise :) trust me u can do this.. wish u best of luck for your life. sending u positive vibes :) thankyou again for sharing :)
