I am doing nothing but going in circles
I have so many things to do that I cannot do anything. I cannot start a task because a hundred tasks lie before it. I cannot focus on task A because I am obsessing about task B. I can't switch to task B because I might as well skip to task C. I get so frustrated and angry that I shut down and do absolutely nothing. Distracted by thousands of racing thoughts in my head. It even took me eight hours to log on to 7 cups today. I've tried to test my blood sugar at least five times today but every time I get up off my couch, I forget what I was doing. I cannot keep living like this.
I hear you! I feel this way sometimes. What works for me is writing a to do list ,no matter how trivial the tasks are and check the ones I complete. The more checks I give myself the more motivated I become and more focused. Give it a try.

My days are very busy and my mind is constantly thinking about a million things I've got to get done. When I get overwhelmed, I shut down and nothing gets done. There are a few things that do help me to not be as overwhelmed, and maybe they can help you.
1. Get up early. I don't know if you already do this, but for me, waking up early has really helped start my day and get me focused. It's a nice time because it's quiet, no one else is awake or around, and I can just gather my thoughts, take a few minutes of deep breathing, watching a favorite TV show, sipping some coffee.
2. Write a list of things you'd like to get accomplished. These are not things you "will get done" but things you "want to get done." Don't put all the pressure on yourself to feel like you have to do everything on the list. Just write down everything - in no particular order. Just as they pop into your head. Once you have everything written down you don't have to keep trying to remember to do this and that and that and that...
3. Review your list. Are there things on it that make your stomach churn when you think about doing them? Are you feeling overwhelmed because there's a lot on the list? Are you surprised that there isn't as much on your list as you first thought? Pick one task - a small one. The blood sugar thing seems like a good one. That is just a few seconds, right? Do the task, then cross it off your list.
4. Pick another task you feel confident about doing after that and then just go from there. Take a break if you start to feel overwhelmed. You're not going to forget anything - it's all written down. Walk away from the list for a bit, come back, start up again.
5. Keep crossing things off, and if a new task pops into your head just add it to the bottom of the list and keep moving forward. Don't dwell on the new task - just add it.
It all starts with one little thing. Once we do one thing, it becomes easier to do the next.
Love ur advise !
