How to Calm Anxiety: 7 Simple Habits
It starts with just a little tremble within. Then a pressure builds up. A hand or foot starts to fidget. Your palms become moist and you start to feel not quite like yourself anymore. The inner calmness you felt has flown out the window. Anxiety is back, like an old friend you didn

@Jem7Cups Thank you so much! Even just reading that made me feel better - I would like to try out some of these, especially the "what's the worst that could realistically happen", "visualisation" and "imagine talking to a friend". Also, deep breathing is a good idea too, and slowing down in general.

I guess there are different types of anxiety. These strategies seem to target social interactions. I actually run toward such things when anxious.
My anxiety comes from being overwhelmed with having so many things to do and not feeling able to process and prioritize what should come next. When O start trying its like an avalanche of what needs done starts coming down and I want to run from it all.
When I try to think i should probable focus on this or that, log jams become apparent and that means more tasks to sort.
The more I try to prioritize the more I small road blocks and log jams and more and more that needs done. It becomes hard to know what to do next.
Rationally I know that just getting anything down is better than nothing at all so I strive to divide the day into past present and future.
I work in the here and now with food prep, laundry cooking etc. Past by trying to do repairs and completing unfished stuff or stuff in progress, and future things like making appointments, exercise, grocery lists, scheduling, ordering missing items that are roadblocks, and gathering supplies and docs or data for future tasks.
This is beautifully written ♥️
Thank you so much. I enjoyed reading it. And I hope we can follow these simple yet effective steps.
Much love,
-Angel
