Taking the plunge into 7 Cups

Catechism May 26th

Hello all,

I have had access to 7 Cups for a while but never considered seriously using it. I decided to give it an earnest shot ever since a few weeks ago, and it has been helping more than I thought it would. My primary area of concern is excess anxiety and worry, though I have made good progress over time on those issues. I still have some more work to do and hope that I can continue in a positive direction with my efforts for the foreseeable future.

@Catechism Thank you for reaching out and being here with us, Cat. I am glad to hear you ready to give a shot. What specific things have helped you feel less anxious and worried?

 Please know you have all of us here with you to listen to and support you

@ASilentObserver

There are two main aspects that helped me out, namely making incremental improvements throughout my adult life and just getting used to the challenges that I have to deal with going forward but never did when I was relatively younger.

As a kid, I was way to sensitive to most kinds of adversity, especially unexpected ones, and it mainly took repeated exposure in order to start getting used to them which made me less anxious each time that I did. There would be bouts of massive anxiety that would show up along the way whenever I would come across a fundamentally new challenges that I never dealt with before, but those also followed the same path of subsiding anxiety as I kept getting more used to them.

Of course, eliminating general issues in my life has also helped since it gave me less problems to worry about which made me feel more comfortable and secure in my situation up to that point. I’ve been at this for quite a while now, focusing on various aspects of my life such as [aerobic] exercise, healthy food intake, choosing productive hobbies, and finding more efficient ways to use my free time in order to improve my well-being (using this 7 Cups is part of that last endeavor).
