One Step a Day
I've found that recognizing one step a day that I've done that was healthy towards recovery has been really beneficial. It helps me not focus on the negative as much and is something that I can do, no matter where I am in my recovery, whether that be wanting to get clean or having been so for a little while. I thought maybe sharing the idea might help! Hopefully this can be an ongoing thread for daily posting. :)
One step that I took today was to call and make an appointment with my psychiatrist in order to let her know how things have been going, rather than continuing to isolate and put it off. Now that I've made my appointment, I feel relieved rather than quite as anxious as I had before calling.
Today I admitted one of my biggest goals in life to someone,even though it sounds so stupid to me now...
@ChassyMom
Good job!
Today I had no caffeinated drinks
@lovelyWhisper66

No caffeinated drinks today
I applied for a job today, despite being anxious about not having worked in a while.
@InternalAcceptance Applying for jobs takes great courage and can be stressful, so way to go! I hope you hear back from them soon. :)
@InternalAcceptance Wow! Good for you!
I resisted getting coffee while I was out today.
Today I got my hair dyed as a reward for making it to 7 years clean on May 18th.
@InternalAcceptance Good Job :) Congratulations!
I spent time with my mother today instead of spending time searching the house for alcohol.
@ItsReganingRain That's awesome. <3
@InternalAcceptance thanks :)
