by Hope
Last post
...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. It is common to have questions regarding your academy program journey. It can be challenging to wait for a response so to provide speedy support, we have decided to have this one central thread where all academy trainees/interns can ask questions related to their academy journey. Here is how to get support! Respond to this thread with your question(s) and the program you are enrolled in. Remember, more information is better than less information. Provide context where needed so you can get speedy answers. Who can respond to the questions? Academy mentors, graduates, and even trainees if they are sure of the answer! Feel free to support each other and provide tips! Make sure to keep an eye on your notifications so you can check the thread for answers. You can expect an answer within 24-30 hours. This post is brought to you by the 7 Cups Academy Team, find out more information about the programs here [https://www.7cups.com/academy/]

Introducing the Building Community Program The course familiarizes the trainees with the basic knowledge in creating and growing online communities and enrollees practice their knowledge by supporting sub-communities of their choices, getting training in the topics they chose to support. A big part of the course is based on the teachings of the book ‘Get Together: How to Build a Community with Your People. Requirements to Join Be a listener/Member Explorer Badge Find more information about how to get the badge here! [https://www.7cups.com/forum/SiteUpdates_100/HopesCorner_2162/Learnaboutsubcommunitiesandearnabadge_232813/1/]The process takes less than 10 mins! Program Duration 6- 12 weeks You can choose the duration as long as it falls under the above-given options. Two Week Trial For the first two weeks, you will be on a trial. You will be given some tasks that will help you identify if this course is the right fit for you. It will also help you choose your sub-community focus later on. Course Load We expect the course to take around 4 hours of time each week. You can expect to do some theoretical work (such as trainings) and a lot of practical work (taking part in sub-communities) You will be doing at least 3 hours of forum work each week. This will be measured by forum posts where each forum posts = 10 mins. So you are expected to make at least 18 forum posts each week. These posts will be made in any sub-communitiy at first and then in your chosen two sub-communities. Certification Like all of our academy courses, upon successful completion of the program, you will receive a certificate and a badge. Graduates will also be eligible to request a letter of recommendation. Onboarding Info We will onboard new trainees each week Monday. The first batch will be onboarded on Jan 18, 2021. Introducing weekly academy mentor check-in
by Hope

...See more Hi Academy Mentors! I hope you all are doing great. Thank you for your continuous hard work and consistent support towards our interns/trainees and our academy programs. I am writing this post to announce the mentor check-ins. What are mentor check-ins? It is a way to improve the internal academy communication and be more aware of the needs of our mentors and their activity level so we can offer added support when needed and also ensure that all of our mentors with the active status are indeed active. This is really important to ensure that program tasks are being completed timely and that our trainees are getting a response in a timely manner. What does this mean for mentors? You simply need to submit a check-in form at the end of each week reporting how your week has been and what have you been upto in academy land! You can submit this form when you end your week (so if you end the week on a friday and are off for the weekend, you can submit on friday). Basically you can submit on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The deadline of each week is Sunday as the team leads will review the forms on Monday. We will be setting weekly alerts to remind you to submit the form, the team lead will also reach out if we did not receive a submission from you. Failure to submit 3 forms in a row may result in role removal. The form takes a minute to fill out. You will be submitting the form for the program you focus on, if you focus on two programs then please fill the form for each program. Question about proprietary

...See more Hi. Ok, so. Please bare with me. The answers I seek might have answers somewhere already, &/or somewhere the questions have been asked and answered. I'm new and it can take to figure things out here. Off the top of my head I can think of 3 communities I'd love to be a part of through 7cups. I don't know if they already exist, or have in the past. The forums are numerous and posts are vast. I'd join, or wouldn't mind taking a shot at leading a new one-- if that's allowed. The problem is I am concerned whether or not 2 would be appropriate/fit within 7cup quidelines. I'll list them in order of interest, which coincides with potential for a issue. 1.) A remote karaoke group. - singing to/for/with others is remarkably healing. There are free apps that allow people to form groups. Having a place to find people to sing with is hard for people that have little to no social connects in the world. 2.) An interfaith spiritual center. People can express that part of themselves and relate to others of all traditions and personal paths in a way that focuses on personal growth and compassionate unity. (I'd personally love to cover how Carl Jung believed the Yi-Jing can act as a form of self-therapy he believed would be ideal for those without access to a therapist. ) 3.) Adult ADHD peer support. Ok. I'd love thoughts and advice and being generally pointed in the right directions. Thank you for your time and help
