...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. It is common to have questions regarding your academy program journey. It can be challenging to wait for a response so to provide speedy support, we have decided to have this one central thread where all academy trainees/interns can ask questions related to their academy journey. Here is how to get support! Respond to this thread with your question(s) and the program you are enrolled in. Remember, more information is better than less information. Provide context where needed so you can get speedy answers. Who can respond to the questions? Academy mentors, graduates, and even trainees if they are sure of the answer! Feel free to support each other and provide tips! Make sure to keep an eye on your notifications so you can check the thread for answers. You can expect an answer within 24-30 hours. This post is brought to you by the 7 Cups Academy Team, find out more information about the programs here [https://www.7cups.com/academy/]

...See more Hi everyone! This post provides the latest information on academy programs. Every once in a while we will renew our posts to ensure the information is up to date and you can be sure that you are getting the most updated information. The 7 Cups Academy is a tuition-free institution that trains members, listeners, and researchers to develop skills and better care for our community. These are professional skills that are of great use even outside 7 Cups. We believe in practice-driven learning and all of our courses have in-field experience at the core. This post is dedicated to providing listeners with the information they need on opportunities available to them within 7 Cups Academy. The 7 Cups Academy has had 1600+ graduates.  How is 7 Cups Academy different from training guides or other educational material available at 7 Cups? The academy programs target specific skills like leadership, content development, etc. Trainees not only get theoretical knowledge of the subject but also spend time practicing the skills under our practicum opportunities. That is not all, one of the challenging parts of learning something new is that it can be an isolating experience and at times you may feel like the motivation is fading. At 7 Cups Academy, we understand your support needs. We have mentors who check in with you regularly to help you navigate the set of requirements and to offer support and encouragement. Additionally, we believe in a student-led approach. Feedback from our trainees results in constant improvements to the program’s coursework and structure. An example of this is our launch of group check-ins where academy trainees can connect with fellow trainees and share experiences. Why choose 7 Cups Academy? * All of our programs are completely free * 1-1 mentor support to help you graduate * You choose your program duration and can seek extensions * Our programs focus on hands-on practical training * The programs offer training in sought-after professional skills * You will be provided with a certificate and a badge upon successful completion * You will train among a group of like-minded individuals who you can learn from * It is a great way to work towards a 7 Cups role. Academy graduates gain relevant experience that makes them good candidates for 7 Cups roles within that focus. * All graduates (from any of the academy programs) can request a letter of recommendation * We provide 7 Cups work verifications, references for school/university/work applications * Not only will we provide you with valuable training, but we can also verify your work experience if needed. Listeners can sign up for the following programs! Please note the key content learned can vary based on the electives you choose. 1. 7 Cups Internship Program The 7 Cups internship program provides participants with the unique experience of giving back to those in need while gaining in-field experience. Academy Weekly Check-ins Now Available! (No longer available)

...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. The academy team has been working on arranging academy group check-ins that anyone associated with the academy can attend or host. This involves academy trainees, graduates, and mentors. For the past 10 days (approx) we have been trialing academy check-ins to get feedback on times, days, and script and we have found that the combination of the following times can be suited to our academy people! Starting today, you can expect weekly academy check-ins at the following times! ‘Username covering’ means both slots are open, and the sessions are being temporarily covered by an academy leader until coverage is found. If you can help out with covering these sessions, please submit this form. [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfU4iz6_9MuecEIEhGraiVkOk_GoBMvc1RutRgeoZNrciLQKA/viewform]We are looking for hosts who can cover these sessions on the same day every week so consistency is important. As we get more hosts, we will add more sessions. A session will be added to this long-term session time/day schedule once we are confident we can maintain it consistently. So you can count on these sessions being there! These sessions are meant to serve as a support system for academy trainees, a place where graduates can come and support current trainees and mentors can have 1-1 contact with trainees. We understand that attending such sessions can take away time from your schedule so we want to give you program credit for doing so! The sessions are hosted in the academy hub room. The Academy team is working on adding 4 of these sessions as an elective to academy programs. You can either attend 4 or host 4 to be eligible. The count will include attending 1 orientation session in case you also attended that. You can expect to see the elective update being implemented within the next 3 weeks. Participation and hosting of the sessions before the official announcement will be considered for the elective. But I do not recommend relying on this elective as updates can take time to be launched but I just wanted to mention it for those who have a lot of program duration left. A huge thank you to our hosts who helped us trial these sessions in their initial stage and have been a big part of the launch @GoldenNest2727 @YourBuddy30 and SirenOfSerenity

Academy Leadership Meeting October 2022
by Hope

October 24th, 2022
...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. We had a lot of success with our previous month’s leadership meeting for 7 Cups Academy Leaders. We all decided that we would like to have the meeting again next month. Last month I sent out a poll but it was not very effective in helping us select a time so this month I am just choosing the time based on what worked for us in the last month. If we feel like we should bring back the poll, we can do so next month! Just send me a message. This month our leadership meeting will be as follows: * Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 11:00 AM ET - 12:00 PM ET in the Adult Academy Hub Room. At the moment we don’t have enough teen leaders for a teen meeting. I will roll out a google form to get feedback from teen leaders. I hope that this meeting time is reasonable enough for people in timezones similar to mine and still not too early for those who live closer to ET time. If you are a leader in trial like an academy mentor in trial, you can attend the meeting! If you do not have access to academy hub room, please message me asap to get access. Agenda of the meeting: * How is your role going for you? (The ups and the downs) * What can we do to improve your academy experience? * What can we do to improve team building within the academy leadership team? Please RSVP by replying to this thread!

July 29th, 2022
...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. As you know we recently launched academy orientation sessions. This will be a repeating session hosted on Tuesdays (the day is fitting as it is right after the new batch is onboarded which is on Monday). We need hosts to keep the session running. We are looking for hosts to lead the session on Tuesdays at the following times. As a host you do not have to lead every week, you can host once, every other week, whatever works best for you. Any academy graduate (members included), academy mentor, academy mentor leader or even academy ambassador is welcome to host these sessions. As long as you can commit to the time you chose. That is really important! The following times are available to be hosted, each slot needs two hosts. This is really important because we need a backup in case someone has to drop out at the last minute and also in case one host is unable to answer some of the questions asked. Two minds are better than one. * 10 AM ET - 11 AM ET Teens * 12 PM - 1 PM ET Adults * 5 PM ET - 6 PM ET Teens * 6 PM ET - 7 PM ET Adults You will get 100 cheers for hosting each session. Hosts are also eligible for the orientation badge. 📢Open Sign Up Sheet Here [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zjraJm6Vf523sm4BReKXqSw3TCP9Fn7Xtyp3yw6xlkA/edit#gid=0] ------------------------- This post is brought to you by the 7 Cups Academy Team. ...See more Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to announce the orientation session time change for Teens. The session time has been changed from 10 AM - 11 AM ET to 1 PM - 2 PM ET. The session will remain on Tuesdays. The time has been changed so that more trainees are able to attend the session and more hosts can be available to lead the session. Moreover, the 5 PM ET - 6 PM ET has been removed as it did not get enough participants. The adult times remain the same: 12 PM - 1 PM ET 6 PM ET - 7 PM ET Updated available orientation sessions are below If you are interested in leading the teen or adult session, we can use your support!
