☘What does Human Rights mean to you☘
Note: This is only an Ultimate Question (because there is a need for me to be dramatic). You can talk about anything under the sun (as long as the sun is called Human Rights), anything you feel needs to be voiced about Human Rights, any group of people you think are deprived of them, or any time when you yourself were deprived of them!
What're you waiting for? Start talking, peepsicles! :D

For me, human rights means fair treatment, equity, tolerance, and acceptance for everyone. Our society thrives off of order and rules. If you don't abide by those rules, then yes, you should get a fair consequence. But human rights should be more considered. Your race doesn't matter. Gender doesn't, either. None of that matters. We put a fake value on people and that needs to go away.
My understanding of human rights is to be respected as an individual despite race, appearance, background or ethnicity.
"speak your mind and express your thoughts for the world to hear" - Not really.
*Unless it goes against the rules or common beliefs.
I just want to talk about my university. I hate it, though I understand the need to have rules but I just can't accept some rules they made. It feels like they're keeping us from having a freedom of expression. It's frustrating, to be honest, and also it's being a hindrance to going to school 'cause you can't get in if you don't follow these rules.
1. You can't dye your hair. So black is the most common natural color in our country (and in most countries as well) and that is the the only hair color we're allowed to have. So this means that even if your natural hair color is brownish, you can't get in. I know it's somewhat stupid to be ranting about this but no, it is about my confidence. It's something I need, as a woman, and they're not letting me experience it.
2. The boys have a STUPID (sorry for the word) haircut. I don't understand the need to have this policy, seriously!
3. The students doesn't seem to care about freedom of speech and expression and it's the most frustrating thing ever.
FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION FOR EVERYONE, PLEASE!!!
~brace yourself for a little bit of an angry rant~
What human rights are to me.
To me human rights acknowledge the fact that we are all human. Sounds like gibberish until you have it explained to ya which I shal do. Humans have opinions, thougts, and feelings. Humans have different preferences with love. Different requirements. All humans have the right to be not cooped up like hens. All humans deserve to be treated like, well, HUMANS. Issues like human trafficking, censorship, LGBTQ+ discrimination, racism terrorism. Those are the very things that de humanise people on levels that should cause concern to our society.
Dehumanising someone who bleeds the same blood as you do isn't just a denial of fundamental and basic human rights. It sets a mould, an example for everyone else to follow. This isn't the society I want but there are problems. To me humn rights is being able to come out like I won't get harassment for it. Its having a child's skin color not make a difference. Its abolishing human trafficking. Sexual abuse. Terrorism. Censorship. None of this will happen. But I'm lucky enough to have enough of these rights to be able to post this. I'm lucky enough to be able to debate on these rights withing school and MUNs. As if in the real world there is a scope for debate. Because in the real world a man with a gun is able to shoot at another who is the same as him. Words- maybe they can save us. But at gunpoint we have a lot more terror ahead of us before words are enough to snao us out of this.
Wierd deep rant. Human rights to me are very important, basically.
To me it means to have the right to express yourself in whatever way you choose and being able to be yourself without anyone judging you harshly or being mean toward you
