Help Wanted - Teen Only Zone 2022

Hello! Do you want to join a sub-community team and love (or will love) exploring the teen only zone sub-community? Here are some roles you could join!

Please note that these roles are not available for adult members. For adult listeners, prior to joining, it is required to become an adult-teen listener.

Forum Roles

Community Mentor / Teen Community Star | Member + Listener

As a community mentor, you will oversee the forum side of the Teen Only Zone. Your responsibilities will include: working closely with forum supporters + forum projects on forum-related projects (ex. bi-weekly checkins, discussions, welcoming new subscribers, etc), signing up and planning monthly events (and communicating with the TOZ group support team for chatroom events), boosting forum engagement and participation, and effectively communicating with the community mentor leaders.

Forum Supporter | Member + Listener

As a forum supporter, you will focus on interacting with others in the forums! In a community with fellow teens or the heart of a teen for adult-teen listeners, we hope that you will enjoy your time here posting posts about topics you enjoy discussing about! Please note that the quota is 10+ forums in the Teen Only Zone per month.

Responsibilities -- you can choose to be a part of at least one of three projects:

• posting bi-weekly check-ins and replying to all replies under the check-in thread
• posting icebreakers and/or discussion in a timely manner and replying to all replies under the thread
• participating in the needs reply team (answer any posts that have not been responded to)

Project Agent (Forum-Based) | Member + Listener

As a project agent that is forum-based, you will focus on boosting forum engagement! This role is a chance for you to check out different projects (as you may be switching around different projects) and see if one particular project best fits you and best supports the sub-community :)

Responsibilities -- you can choose to be a part of at least one of three projects:

• working with the community mentor on events
• posting welcome new subscriber posts
• working with the community mentor leader on overall forum engagement

Group Support Roles

Discussion Host | Member + Listener

As a discussion host, you will lead at least 3 discussions per month in a group chat room. This role is offered to both members and listeners and is great for those who are interested in interacting with the community. Session topics include things like Icebreaker Hour and Getting to Know You as well as support based topics likes Anxiety, Depression, and much more!

Your responsibilities will include:

• checking in with the support team leader
• staying on top of signing up for sessions
• creating a fun/welcoming environment for your sessions!

Support Team Leader | Listener Only

As a support team leader, you will be working with our wonderful support team leader @sophiasanae on overall group support. While Sophia is focused on working with discussion leaders and script writers, this role involves overseeing room supporters and chatroom moderators.

Your responsibilities will include:

• checking in with room supporters and chatroom moderators
• making sure all RS and mod sessions are tockified and updated on the dashboard
• outreaching to potential people who would be interested in joining the team
• working well and communicating effectively with co-STLs and CMLs
