Dealing with Chronic Pain and disabilities, especially depression.

bgdave June 15th, 2023

I have spent over 4 months now in a Nursing and Rehabilitation facility and am not feeling like I am making any progress on improving my quality of life. I really don’t have any close friends that live here so I get no visits and I have no vehicle so I am stuck walking long distances and riding public transportation. My life feels so dark and lonely 😔.

Take each day as it comes. Every day there is something, no matter how big or small to be happy and grateful. Just waking up is an amazing feat that many do not have the luxury of doing.

I am not in a rehab facility but I feel similar to what you describe. I’m sorry you’re experiencing that. I had a long bout with a series of illnesses and event based trauma from 2012-now that left me depressed, lonely, on chronic pain, less able and with PTSD. It is very dark and lonely here too. And when all I face is aging on top of it, it feels hopeless.

i wish you peace and I can talk here sometimes if that helps.
