What has given me the most joy this year has been my husband's family coming to visit him at my house. This is the first time they have been inside our house in 13 years, and it made me happy to see them come visit even though it was because of sickness.

1. This year two stray cats decided to move in to our backyard and haven't left. Some days ago, I couldn't find them and when into panic mode. Thankfully, they reappeared later that day.
2. I love hanging out with my mum, my sisters, and my brother. I will forever miss my dad.
3. This summer keeping the hummingbirds feeders filled was a lot of fun. I enjoyed this a lot during summer! Watching these tiny birds become territorial over the feeders, I was in awe.

A visit on Thanksgiving Day by my daughter and son in law who dwell in Indiana. We ran the "Iron Turkey", a fund raiser that my son in law actually created 15 years ago when he was in a fraternity here at UTEP. Since then I have made it a tradition. It was so great that they could join me this year. Then we all attended a parade party, my ex included, it was beautiful. Brought back good memories!

Buying property. It's a small plot & needs a lot of work...but it is mine. Until this year, I hadn't owned land & never seriously considered the possibility. It was quite the milestone for me.
