I've successfully quit heroin cold turkey, and have left the faith of my youth without feeling [too much] disdain or shame from it and can view religion and spirituality with a lot of objectivity.  It can be helpful or harmful, depending on how we use it and what kind of person we are.

I've also used psychedelic drugs and practice meditation, in case that's something you know or are interested in.

And I've gone through eating disorders (in both directions), so have a bit of experience with those.
