✨✨✨✨✨
Hello, this is Pals aka Tex, Rabbelion, Bun-bun, deformed Chihuahua, Paul, etc (feel free to give me a name, if you wish).
Firstly, for the uninitiated, I am the "bunny" of 7 cups (on public demand) xD
I am pretty chill and relaxed so, by all means, approach me regarding anything, a member 1-to-1 chat, a listener 1-to-1 chat, some queries you might have, etc. I love hanging out in rooms and meeting/talking to different people, so just drop me a PM (private message) anytime you want to have a non-serious, fun discussion, I won't mind.
My roles include: this para is kinda tedious, full of roles and monotonous stuff, hence skip it if you want to.
1. Verified Listener: you can find a 'Purple' tick mark beside my username and a 'Verified Listener' badge in my profile confirming it.
2. Safety Patrol member: you can check the same by the 'Safety Patrol' badge in my profile which lets me flag any inappropriate profiles. Please, do let me know if you spot anyone who you feel might hamper the safety and security of the site with an inappropriate profile/username or bio.
3. Sharing Circle buddy: as a former Sharing Circle host, I help new Sharing Circle hosts in conducting a smooth session as a 'Sharing Circle buddy'.
4. Listener Verifier: please confirm the same by finding a 'Listener Verifier Team' badge on my profile.
5. Safety Patrol Outreach Team member: I am part of this wonderfully constructed team of SPOT which allows me to conduct Safety Patrol training sessions.
6. Translator: 'Translator' badge on profile confirms the same.
7. Sharing Circle host: I am a Sharing Circle host as well; confirmed by the 'Sharing Circle' badge on my profile. However, currently, not hosting any Sharing Circle.
8. Safety Awareness team member: confirmed by the 'Safety Support' badge on my profile.
9. Adult Teen Listener Team: confirmed by the 'ATL' badge on my profile.
10. Team Lightship Member: also called Social Soldiers.
My Achievements include:
1. 7 Cups Intern Graduate: I am proudly a 7 cups intern graduate with Honors.
2. Training guides completion: I have completed all the self-training guides, some of which are 'depression', 'Bipolar', 'Anxiety' etc, with sheer dedication.
3. Completion of Peer training guides: along with completing self-training guides, I am elevated to inform you that I have completed all the peer training guides, from one to twelve.
(Note: this doesn't make me a Peer Supporter)
4. Tulip badge: I am a 'Tulip badge' holder, if the one who recommended me for the same is reading this, then please know that I can never thank you enough.
5. Completion of AL tests: I am delighted to announce that I have all four AL completion badges, 'Graduate', 'Master', 'Scholar' and 'Rocket listener', which confirms that I have successfully completed all four Active Listening Tests, one, two, three, four, respectively.
6. Multiple Academy trainee: Currently, I am a trainee/soon-to-be-a-graduate for the following programs:
(i) LDP (ii)GLDP (iii)CDM (iv)QL
Before I proceed, let me tell you that I did not list the roles and achievements because I wanted to flaunt them or make myself feel important. That's not why they exist, at least not the roles. I am not a fan of listing them as well.
I did this simply because I have a poor memory so listing these in my bio will help me keep a track of it.
Additionally, by listing them I wanted to let you know that anyone in search of information regarding any of the above-mentioned roles/achievements can PM me, I would be glad to help you solve your queries on the same or provide you with any information I have.
Which reminds me, I want to address a topic I have been meaning to speak about (I will try to keep it short, I promise):
Your roles/achievements don't define your 'status', 'respect', or 'position' in this community. I request you to never ever sign up for a role if you aren't interested or just want to feel 'important' in this community.
You are important. Every single person in this community matters and is equally significant. You don't need to sign up for roles to prove it to yourself or to someone else. We all, together, make this community a better place, and your roles/achievements/chats/cheers don't matter.
If you are really passionate about a team or want to join it because you are genuinely interested in it, then unquestionably join it. But please, please don't ever expose yourself to burnout/compromise your mental health or sign up for a larger number of roles than you can handle just to list it down in your profile or to seem more important.
I don't mean offense to anyone. I respect people who work passionately on different levels just to keep this site working, I really do respect and appreciate their efforts.
Again: you matter, you are a salient part of this site. Every single one of you.
Few lines I read somewhere which I absolutely love:
"Even if you are not noticed, you are still valid.
Even if there is no one to read it, you should still write it.
Even if there is no one to hear it, you should still say it.
Even if there is no one to see it, you should still do it.
You are not measured by how people react to you."
Lastly, a special mention of someone who has tagged me in their profile:
@leafycup: thank you for mentioning me in your cute little bio, Leafyyy :p
(P.S: for those who remember it, yes, my self-care has come to an end and I am back, to attack you guys with cookies and my nomming sessions xD)
