I am a 40-something scientist from the UK with a love for animals and music. People here tend to call me acci or tent and I hope you'll find that I try to approach things in a compassionate but logical way.
I hope I can help you find your way to a better and calmer day.
I am here with an open mind to listen to whatever is going on for people, particularly those struggling with different flavours of anxiety, panic and stress, and related impacts on wellbeing like difficulty sleeping.
I have personally experienced depression, anxiety disorders (social, health and generalised), workplace bullying and stress, panic attacks and an eating disorder, but am now thankfully in a place where I can use that experience to help others.
Please note I am not the right person to support anyone who wants to talk about eating disordered behaviours, self-harm or sexual health problems, so please select a different listener for those topics.
As a heads up, usually I can dedicate around 40 mins per chat to listen (if live) but will say this at the start of the chat and notify when that time is nearly up to avoid any unexpected or abrupt chat endings :)
You might find me (or my member alter ego) hanging out in member group support rooms, lending an ear when I do not have enough time or focus to dedicate to 1-1 chats, so I might meet you there some time!
