Of course. Sometimes people feel "defined" by their careers, and thus motivated to have a career that they find deeply fulfilling. That's perfectly okay. It's also okay to feel as if your career is just something you "do," and not who you are. Everyday you are presented with different situations, and you make different decisions based on those situations. You are learning and growing every single day.

I look at evolving as continuing to learn. I may be doing the same job everyday, but am I learning something somewhere in my life? At my job, I tend to ask a lot of questions about learning more about my job. Seek out the potential to learn more skills or higher position responsibilities. That helps me some.

It really depends on whether the job brings you any enjoyment and how fulfilled you feel with the tasks at hand. Do you feel appreciated in your current position?
