That is completely normal! College is a hard thing to think about, many stressors. However it is not impossible! You just have to believe you can do it, and strive to do the best that you can!

Of course! It is a big move, and you could be scared of many things, just like many other people. Just know that it's okay to be scared and there will be support if you need it.

It is indeed quite "normal" to feel some fear about a new and strange environment with many new faces and anticipated demands.

It is normal. It will be a whole new different world from highschool. But it will also open opportunities for you to know yourself and be better. You will feel more independent and resposible.

Of course it is. You're facing the beginning of adulthood and it isn't slowing down for you. But if you just take a deep breath and stay confident, you can get through it.

Going to college, work or any other academic setting can cause anxiety depending on a variety of factors. It is natural to feel nervous about starting a new academic semester/year as you may not know anyone in your classes. Another reason you could feel scared is because you have an idea of what's going to happen. For example, you might not get along with some people in your classes, you might be afraid of getting called on, etc. It can be helpful to pinpoint why you feel anxious in the first place. Once you figure out the reason why you feel anxious (or there may be no concrete reason at all, that's okay too), it might be a bit easier to calm your nerves. It's important to take it a day at a time. Being scared is okay, but growth often happens when we are put in uncomfortable situations. Try to embrace the fear and see what happens.

It is completely normal. Going to college is a big step. Change can be scary. College is usually the first time you spend a lot of time away from home. It will be okay. Just know you are not alone. Each person who goes off to college experiences some fear at first.

Of course. It's a lot of pressure to pack your bags and leave home for an education. But once you do it you'll feel more confident.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
