In my personal experience this usually happens when my blanket is too thick, when I am feeling particularly anxious or ive just had a night mare, try to get up, cool off, have a glass of milk or water and lay back down uncovered if you have to, and try to get lost in some meaningless thought in order to fall back asleep

If your room is well ventilated and you are sweating despite the Air conditioning being switched on, then there could be several reasons that range from anxiety attacks and nightmares to a health condition. If you notice erratic heart rate and heavy breathing accompany the sweating, then you probably had a nightmare or a panic attack in your sleep. Introspect and think if there's something that you are very scared of or worried about. But if the problem persists, you should probably visit your doc.
Try drinking some cold water or splash some on your face, if it helps.
You could wake up sweating from it being too hot in the room, or from having too many blankets on. It also could be from having nightmares or night terrors that you do not remember.

From my personal experience, when I wake up sweating that means my anxiety is a little worse than usual. Take a deep breat . And tel yourself you ARE going to have a good day regardless. Going for a walk and drinking a glass of water helps. :)
Maybe you're feeling a little nervous or exhausted from having too much on your plate? I find the best strategy to combating the feeling of nervosa is simply taking in deep breaths and drinking plenty of water.
It's normal to wake up sweating. You could of had a bad dream, you are sick, or the room you're currently in is too hot.
Whenever I wake up sweating it's usually because I'm too hot. Again it's probably something that I'm dreaming about or something on my mind that's uncomfortable that's coming to the surface.
Dreams can be terrifying and beautiful things. When we dream we connect to our subconscious. Our subconscious is the most beautiful and disgusting place in our minds, yet, when we sleep, when we dream, everything becomes connected. That can, however, be more than we bargained for. In sleep there shouldn't be fear, but sometimes there is. Unresolved issues arise when we are at our most vulnerable and sleep is one of the most vulnerable states we have. If sleep becomes impossible, it's a clear sign of psychological issues unresolved.
Night-sweats can be caused by a lot of things...I know I have to deal with this a lot because it's a side effect of my medication. It's important to monitor the side effects of any medications you're taking, so you can weigh the pros and cons, and see if it's making enough of a difference in how you feel to outweigh the negative side effects. For me, it took me a long time to find the right medication for me that worked for my body, so I am willing to live with night sweats in order to feel normal. But it could vary from person to person, so it all depends what you are the most comfortable with. But it never hurts to talk to your doctor if you're ever wondering about something like this!
i wake up sweating when i have a very bad dream or when I'm very very anxious and stressed out about stuff
There a many different reasons, emotional or physical as to why you may wake up sweating. Such an action is common in illnesses like PTSD, however it could also be that you are feeling stressed or anxious, and it is your body way of letting you know
I have night terrors, which cause me to panic, which causes me to sweat. It could be something similar. Stress during sleep affects you the same way physiologically that stress while awake does.
If I am stressed out about school, or just hot :) I generally only sweat when I wake up in the middle of the night.
I sometimes wake up sweating and it's a very uncomfortable experience. Possible contributions to this discomfort can be too thick a blanket or pyjamas, a loud environment, bed bugs or even an old mattress. While these are physical explanations, your overall health can also be a leading cause of a sweaty sleep.
If you have recently changed your diet, are feeling fatigued, or are experiencing a flu, sweating is a common result. A area which won't effect all, is also woman experiencing menopause. The fluctuation in hormonal changes can cause sweating during your sleep. Likewise, men who are testosterone deficient or taking drugs to prevent or reduce the production of the hormone can also experience sweating in sleep, unfortunately.
However, night sweats can sometimes be a sign of an underlying medical condition, so you should see your GP if they keep happening and you're worried.

There could be many reasons for this. Some are hormonal imbalances, such as menopause, or something like drinking alcohol before bed, sleeping in a hot room, etc. If it becomes troublesome, seek a dr.
It could be dehydration or that you are very stressed in your sleep. Try listening to relaxing music
Waking up sweating could be the result of a nightmare, perhaps a very intense dream or maybe it was just the fault of a hot room temperature.

You may have too many blankets on, or you may not be drinking enough water. Maybe you need to change your pillowcase, that can be an issue.
* Menopause or Andropause. Menopause in women is the most common cause of night sweats. However, some men also suffer from night sweats during the male menopause, or andropause.
* HIV, tuberculosis. In fact, any infectious disease or condition that brings on a fever can cause night sweats.
* Diabetes. Diabetes can also cause night sweats.
* Sleep apnea. This is the one that most concerns us. Night sweats can also be a sign of sleep apnea. If you also suffer from severe snoring and excessive daytime sleepiness, it might be time for a study.
* Alcohol, some drugs, spicy foods. Consumption of any of these can cause night sweats. And by drugs, I’m not necessarily referring to street drugs. Some prescription drugs, like Zoloft, can also cause night sweats.
Waking up sweating can mean that your body has undergone a certain type of stress, whether positive or negative, during sleep.
It could be many things. It's possible that it is a physiological response to a subconscious dream that you do not remember, it could be a symptom of an underlying illness, either physical or mental, your body temperature may run a few degrees warmer than other people, or it may just be too warm in your room.

Sometimes, I wake up sweating because of what was happening when I was asleep. There are times that when I am asleep, my brain thinks I'm participating in strenuous, exhausting activities. If I were doing these activities in real life, I'd be sweating. Since a part of my brain thinks I am doing this, sometimes the brain doesn't know how to distinguish whether or not I am actually going through the event. Thus, it gives me the reaction it would if I were to partake in the even.
There could be more possibilities: maybe your room it's too hot even at around 6 am (when the temperature is defenitely lower), in this case try to sleep keeping the door or the window open, or refrigerate your room before sleeping with the a.c. . Another reason is because your body is too hot: this could happens because of the sheets, your pygiama, or your dreams. Try to sleep in cotton sheets and cotton pygiamas, and not to eat too much before sleeping, or watching horror movies. Bu if the situations continues please call your doctor.
Sometimes I wake up sweating when I have a cold or the flue. To avoid waking up sweating, I try to keep my room cool, and put the temperature down at night.
May be you are not feeling peacefully! Try to meditate and sleep with a attitude thattthere is no stress and tension! You will have a content sleep
Perhaps it was a nightmare, I know sometimes I'll wake up sweating if I have had a particular terrifying dream. sometimes it could just be because you have been too warm under your covers and your body wakes you up to help regulate your body temperature.
This can be caused by several things such as temperature, hormones or anxiety. Depending on whats happening when the sweating occurs, your best bet is to go to your doctor to check out what might be going on.
