How long does a panic attack last?

Perfect therapy for people who need help. I would like to say, I never can imagine it could be possible to heal people like that

A panic attack can last anything between five and twenty minutes. It's not the same for every person with attacks as everyone is different.

I believe it depends on the individual, their stress levels and what has triggered the panic attack. It could last only a few minutes, to an hour or longer. If you feel panic attacks take over your life and last longer than you believe is necessary than I would talk to your doctor about it.

Usually a few minutes or more, depends from a person to person. It's not the same with every person.

The average panic attack will last between 20-30 minutes but everyone is different, some people have very short attacks lasting only 10 minutes whereas some people could take up to an hour to calm down properly.

A panic attack usually reaches its peak within 10 minutes and will last no longer than 15 minutes. Afterwards you might feel really tired or sleepy.

In my expierence, a panic attack can last up to 2-20 minutes, dependant on my comfort in my surroundings.

It depends, it can be different for everyone. some last 5 minutes but some can last more than 1 hour.

It can be a few minutes to hours. If you feel that it is becoming too much to cope with on your own, seek medical attention, they have medication to stop a panic attack.

It can last a different amount of time for every person, but it's usually 5-20 minutes for myself. People even experience panic attacks differently.

It can vary for different people - the key is to learn how to manage them. Once you come to terms with how you may be able to control your panic attacks, or how you can prevent them, you will be able reduce your chances of having them. It all takes time but it's completely possible.

For me, generally around 15-20 minutes. If anything, panicking so intensely for that long wears you out.

I've experienced anxiety my whole life and they can last hours but they only last as long as you let it. Panic attacks stem from yourself and they go back to your head and once you are able to take control and remember that thing's are not as bad and as scary as they seem those panic attacks will get shorter and shorter and eventually fade away completely. Given proper self nourishment and time.

It really depends on the situation the person is in but normal I would guess about 3-6 mins or less

For me, generally about 2-5 minutes, but that's depending on the severity of what triggered the panic attack.

It really depends on how you handle it. It can last until you are out of the situation that caused it or with the right techniques it can last just about a minute. With the right experience, you can prevent having a uncontrollable panic attack in the first place.

panic attacks can as a while ive had a panic attack last a couple of hours it varies alot with different people they may only last a minute or two

There is no set time for a panic attack to last but the best thing to make it end quickly is to breathe, count to 10, and take deep breaths. You are really the only one that can help yourself, so take time to help yourself when you're going through tough times. Take care of yourself and spoil yourself! And the best thing to do is to try and take time out of every day to relax.

There is no set time. It depends on what your trigger is, the individual, how intense it is to name just a few factors.

theres no fixed time. it depend in its severity and the person. it may last from a few miutes to a few hours.

Panic attack lengths vary. They can last a few minutes to an hour, sometimes more. It all varies !!!

A panic attack usually only lasts for a few minutes, maybe 15-20 at most. Sometimes they can go away and then come back, go away and then come back. Usually breathing deeply into a paper bag will help it go away faster, as it regulates your breathing and helps some symptoms of it.

It depends how severe it is usually they only mast up to about 5-10 minutes. However if you use breathing techniques they usually end quicker as you calm down

A panic attack is different for every person. You can never determine the length of a panic attack because it depends on the person and the situation.

I can't speak for every panic attack sufferer, but mine last about 15+ minutes. My longest one was around 30. It's really recovering from the panic attack that is miserable for me because that can take me a couple of hours. I would say the "average" is 10-15 minutes.

usually no more than fifteen or twenty minutes. Although a lot of people experience much shorter ones, maybe only a couple of minutes.

Well It depends on who the person is and what is causing the panic attack. If the panic attack is severe it will last maybe a couple hours where if its not so severe it will only last a couple of minutes

That totally depends on the person, so there really isn't a viable answer for that. However, with the right tricks, company, and learning how to handle yourself in these situations you can really cut it down. Hope that helps. :)

A panic attack usually lasts from 5-30 minutes (this is rare.) With breathing exercises and/or cognitive therapy you can greatly shorten the time and severity of the attacks.

For me, it could last up to fifteen or twenty minutes, but most of the time I had one or more after that, so the fear could last for up to an hour.

It varies upon the person, and it can last a while depending on the person who is having the attack.
