I don't know how many times I have asked myself this. At different times in the day, night, it didn't matter, this question constantly crept in. But I began to realize that my experience, and my life, could give life to others. If I could share my experiences, and my knowledge, then maybe that will make at least one other person realize that they are useful, and need to keep living.

Well, this is honestly an easy and hard question. Its easy because there is always gonna be a brighter horizon eventually if you just keep looking forward and hoping. Its hard to answer because for everyone there is a different reason to live, but there is a reason to live. Some people just haven't found it yet, but when they do, they will be glad they lived, because that thing will be simply amazing, and will mean the whole world to them.

Statistically speaking you have a point. Dying has a better outcome than living when we keep the odds of hardships and a certainty of a favourable end. But according to statistics we should have met aliens by now. Why die? What's the point? Whats the need to go into non-existence? By living you atleast have a life, by dying there might be nothing or eternal hell as per your belief.

Well that's a question that has a different response depending on each one of our different contexts. As a general reason i would guess not commiting suicide avoids family members from suffering, but i know that some people don't have the normal family bonds, so maybe that wouldn't be enough of a reason. If that's the case then I'd suggest you'd look for something you'd like to do, that's realistic, a plan if you will, and try to complete it, live for your own reasons.

People often ask that question when they cannot seem to find any purpose or meaning in life. Well, that happens because there isn't any pre defined meaning or purpose of life. Life is a blank canvas, there is nothing to be found there, everything that you want has to be created. That's what they mean when they say, "Find what you love and let it kill you" - you have to find the thing that matter to you and give your life working towards achieving it. The better you get at it, happier you will be and so will be the people around you. People usually come up with a counter-argument, "Nothing really maters and everything is meaningless". Well, the pain that you're feeling, obviously matters because it is forcing you to give up on life, the pain that you're feeling is there for a reason and it does have a meaning. And if you really think about why you're feeling the pain, you somehow already know why it is there and what is causing it. All you have to do is get up and eliminate that reason. Now, the main trouble with that would be that you have to go out of your comfort zone to do that and people don't like being vulnerable. But everything comes at a price, you have to sacrifice something in order to achieve something(be that your comfort zone). But in the pursuit of achieving something you have to know yourself, know what you're good at. As Einstein said, "you cannot judge a fish for its ability to climb a tree" - so know what you're good at(self awareness is a key element for self development), if you're good as a fish(metaphorical example) stop comparing yourself to the Horse. And as long as you know that YOU CAN BE A SHARK AND NO ONE CAN STOP YOU FROM DOING THAT!

You should always keep living for your sake and for the sake of the people you love, things can get rough and seem like everything is going downhill but please know that it does get better and that you shouldn't give up. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel and there's always a solution to your problems no matter how big they may seem to you. I urge anyone thinking about suicide to reach immediate help from Hotlines or from trained professionals. Suicide Is a permanent answer for a temporary problem and i believe than any problem can be solved appropriately.

Keep living because of all things you haven’t done. Keep living because someone loves you and you may not even know it. Keep living because you haven’t finished that TV show or seen the sunset from the other side of the world. Keep living because you want to hear your favorite artists new album, because you want to eat your favorite cereal tomorrow morning, because you want to beat the next level of your favorite video game, because if you died then who would make sure your dog was fed every morning? Keep living because for all you know you could win the lottery tomorrow. Keep living because without you so many people will never be the same because you matter.

There are many times in our life that we may sit and question our existence. It's a question that I've heard many times. " What is the use of living ? I have nothing to live for." That's 100% wrong. You have so many things to live for. There are so many things that we can do but we don't work to our full potential to get to those huge goals in life. Don't you want to make yourself proud? Work hard to accomplish the goals that you've always worked so hard for. Find your passion. There are so many great things that we can do to make ourselves feel wonderful. Why do you think that there are so many artists, singers, painters, photographers and so many other amazing people out there? They took advantage of that gray area in their life and put into the form of art in some type of way. Do what makes you happy. There are so many people that love and care for you. Think of it. If your younger you saw the way you are now? Would they be proud of the person that you have become? If your answer is "no", go out there and make a difference in your life. Once you do, you'll find your purpose and thank yourself for it.

There are so many good things in the world to live for. I couldn't possibly name them all, but here are a few examples: puppies (if you're not allergic), good food, friends who make you laugh and smile, and good books. The world is filled with good things, and sometimes it can give us the short end of the stick. But the sun must set to rise, and if you continue to see the good things in the world, then you will keep positive feelings in and negative ones out.

Keep living because if you throw your life away, you could be throwing away the time where you could finally be happy with yourself and your surroundings. Listeners on 7 Cups are here to listen and understand what you may be going through no matter how big or small your situation is. It doesn't matter how big or small your situation may be, it's how you handle it, and getting through it is what makes life worth living. Remember, there's always a time where you will be happy, even if you need help getting to that point. Happiness is worth living through.

Life is a powerful thing.. we all go through series of events but in the end.. we do question is it worth it? But yes it is worth it! Life can be filled with so much joy passion and fun! You just need to find the right direction if you are lost! We all get to experience the wonders that life brings if we work hard to achieve what we want! We can all do it! Stay positive and push forward.. no matter how hard it gets! We all get alittle down and sometimes lonely but there is always someone somewhere who feels the same.. but if we didn’t experience the bad .. we wouldn’t know what the good would be until we knew the difference.. life is special!

Sometimes i think this and all the bad things I've done or have had happen to me come in my mind but i learn to push all that away and believe that i came into the world with a purpose and that is the reason i'm living and until my time is over i should stay .Sometimes ignoring the bad things help.Being a Christian helped me to understand that God has given each individual a purpose to live and that everyone is uniquely crafted in his own hands. So i hope this answers the question: Why keep living? Everyday will bring something new into your life

People normally live a life anywhere from 75 to 90 years old And depending on your age you're only a fraction of your there imagine waking up one day with a great job and a great family if you want one. Keep living because there's a possibility and small bit of hope that you could wake up one day and have a great life.

a cup of coffee in the morning, your moms smile, your best friends laugh, for the tiny humans that look up to you, hearing the words "i love you," long hot showers, late night drives, you are enough, the sound of thunder and rain, eating your favorite foods, the stars, all of the movies and books, meeting new people, genuine smiles, you matter, meaningful relationships, hugs, cuddles, your dog, you are worth it, inside jokes, you would be missed, fuzzy socks and getting cozied up with blankets, cute old people, to watch your little brother graduate, snow days, that feeling you get when you don't have to set an alarm for the next day, the cold side of the pillow, the feeling of putting on clothes straight out of the dryer, finding extra fries at the bottom of the bag, good hair days, YOU ARE LOVED

Sometimes it feels very painful to keep going. People on this site know that better than many others. It's okay to feel pain and to cry and even to feel like giving up. But why have you kept going thus far? Do you have a job, a brother, a friend who holds you up when you can't? What smells do you like? Rain on a mountain, rosemary on roasted chicken, cookies in the oven, freshly cut grass? What sights make you smile? The view from the top of a peak, your cat when you come home, a lizard on the sidewalk, a pretty bird? Sometimes all we have to keep us grounded are the tiny things that remind you to take a deep breath. It's okay to hang onto moments to get through a journey.

Even when I feel like I’m utterly useless, I try to think of the people that care about me, even if I don’t feel like they do. Sometimes we just feel down in the dumps, and that can be really challenging, since it can make us loose our will to live, but it can and will get better. While you might not know it, there are many people who love you for who you are, and would be ruined if you Where to forever leave them. Life is often very difficult, but sometimes, it can be very beautiful, precious even.

Think back to a time when you didn't feel like there was no point in living. Even if it was a long time ago. What was different then? What were the reasons you stayed alive? No reason is too small. Think of the things, however small, that bring some joy or comfort. Stay for those things. Next, what would a life worth living look like to you? If you were to wake up tomorrow at not feel this way, what would be different? Maybe you would have different achievements or more friends. Whatever it is, that is a reason to stay alive. Those are things to strive for.

There has always been that nagging question that everyone has questioned at least once at some point in their lives. There may or may not be an answer. Nobody truly knows. What we all do know though is that we are here and we are living now, that is fact. The most important part of life I believe is to live it's full potential, questioning its existence allows us to realise how much time we really have left. This realization is what strives us to continue to want to live, love and learn before its too late. It's okay to question it as long as it doesn't negatively affect your daily life, at which point it becomes unhealthy. Wishing you the very best 🙂

I often ask myself this as well. Many say the purpose of life is to die and repeat the cycle. However, the more optimistic people believe how we live our lives is also important. While this is an overused and somewhat cliche phrase, it has some meaning. You could spent your entire time believing that life is useless, or you could try to just go along with it. Even though everyone has to die someday, you could do something to help those who come after you. Something to make the newcomers to life not believe that there is no use to life.

I know that some times, if not most of the time we don't see a reason for being here anymore. I have felt that way for a while but I have found that just the thought of never being here to the snow fall or stars in the sky and all the weird and crazy things about the people i know that i would really miss. I can't tell you your reasons to keep living because i don't know you but I can promise that if you at least try even if it is the smallest reason you need to keep fighting

I don't know if this will help, but things could be better, but things could also be worse. Someone else out there is going through the same things you are, and by continuing to fight, youre helping that person as well.

Understanding that sometimes life can be hard, but there is hope and you may not see it now but telling someone how you are feeling can help you to get through this rough patch. Life is important and people do need you, you may not see this now but trust that it is true and people do need you

I'm paraphrasing Einstein when I say, we are here for but a brief sojourn. For what reason we know not. But we are bound to each other by the ties of humanity. There are days when I can't grasp the reasons for it. But I know ultimately I'm bound to those that love me. To those that have molded me into what it is they see in me. To those that have needed me to be, to be what I am in their eyes, and to exist. To exist. To make existence easier on others is to exist with them. Make it something worthwhile.

Living is a good thing. There is lots too live for you can live for a new family member, or another life event such as getting married or engaged or having kids of your own. I believe that living is important because suicide has taken over a lot of peoples lives including friends of mine but I learned how too just listen and be able to help others overcome the demons inside of that person. The use of living is that you wont make someone else sad and you may make other people happy that you are still alive.
