You are not anxious 24/7
When we are experiencing periods of high anxiety, it feels like all we feel is anxiety, all we are is this anxious person but these are just thoughts, this feeling is a small part of your day. Your body is physically incapable of experiencing high levels of anxiety for a long period of time.
It is very easy to get caught up in the cycle of experiencing anxiety, anxiety-reducing, and using that time to anticipate more anxiety. But that makes for an exhausting cycle and we end up feeling like we never get a break and our anxiety becomes overwhelming.
Let's change that. Make an effort to savor the moments of relief in between, focus on the calm, or even the reduction in anxiety levels. Acknowledge that it does get better even if the next wave of anxiety is near, it can’t take away this small moment of peace that exists in between.
