True North Star Principles

Most people are unaware of their true principles, called the north star by the author as people have used the north star to find guidance when they get lost. The author insists that in order to figure out our true principles, we must first learn what a principle is not

North star principles are not:

• Values (believing that because we value something, getting it will improve our life)
• Practices (Following prescribed way of doing things, focusing on steps rather than the results)
• Religion (the principles are not based on your approval or disapproval of religious practices)
