Tiny Habits Intro - Making a Goal into Habits

Creator: @7motivation

Hi! You're back again! Great!

You're making great progress now! Yay!

----------------

I hope you learned a lot directly from the Tiny Habits inventor, BJ Fogg.

That's the last time we'll see him.

----------------

For this step... Let's learn how...

"Goals can be made into habits easily"

----------------

Here's how...

----------------

First... list your overall goal.

----------------

Maybe your goal is to "get fit".

----------------

Then... list all the things you would need to do... to support the goal.

----------------

Now... Which things... need to be done repeatedly... to support the goal?

----------------

If your goal is to "get fit", you'd have many possibilities.

----------------

Anything you would repeat regularly... can be made into a habit behavior!

----------------

The big question is...

Which of those things on your list... are worth making into habits?
----------------

There are many ways to "get fit"!

Which should you pick to make into habits?

----------------

The answer is... the things that...

----------------

1) seem most effective for you

------- and ---------

2) seem most agreeable to do
(you'd actually want to do them)

------- and ---------

3) seem easily do-able by you
(or you can easily learn or can fit in your day, etc.)

----------------

*"Tiny Habits" calls them... "Golden Behaviors".

They are the most valuable...
just like a gold coin is worth more than a silver coin or a copper coin.
So...

  • To pick the most valuable coins, pick the golden coins!
    ----------------
  • To pick the most valuable behaviors to support a goal, pick the "golden behaviors"!

Then try making habits out of them and...

  • The goal will more-likely be achieved!
    ----------------
  • The habits will more-likely thrive too!

----------------

So when choosing habits to support a goal...

Try to pick things that seem:
1) most effective, plus
2) most agreeable, plus
3) most do-able by you

That can make it easier to reach your goal. 🌝

Those habits are probably most-worth building.

----------------

Habits that give good results, are habits that thrive!
