The Interdependent Paradigm
All Public Behavior Is Ultimately Private Behavior: There is no such thing as public behavior as any public entity is made up of the behavior of the individuals associated with the organization.
Life is one invisible whole: Gandhi said “a person cannot do right in one department of life whilst attempting to do wrong in another department. Life is one indivisible whole.” The author insists that when we do badly in one role of our life, it impacts the other roles too. If you do poorly as a partner, it will cross over to poor work performance at some point. You simply can not divide behavior.
Trust Grows out of Trustworthiness: To gain trust, you need to be trustworthy with everyone. You can not pick and choose whose reputation will you guard. You must treat everyone with the same core principles. Be careful about how you treat people in their absence as that shows character.
