Take Self-care Breaks
Would you go to your university 7 days a week? Or do you work at your job 7 days a week? The reality is that we frequently take breaks from our offline commitments. We look forward to the weekend even if we enjoy our weekday responsibilities. It is a human need to take rest.
It is only reasonable to also give yourself time off from 7 Cups! You can love this place but at the same time you must realize that is only a part of your life and your participation here should be of benefit to you. That is only possible if you are mindful of your 7 Cups use. Ensure that you are taking at least one day off each week to do the things you love outside of the platform, ideally spending time doing offline activities.
Even when you feel perfectly fine, it is important to take breaks because it prevents burnout and it helps you develop and maintain healthy boundaries. We recommend that you schedule time off periodically to enjoy the many other things that life has to offer.
It is okay to even take longer breaks as long as you are responsible about it and ensure that all concerned parties are aware of your scheduled break. For example if you are a listener and have regular members, send them a message letting them know that you won’t be around for the duration. If you are a leader then make sure to give your team lead a heads up so they can cover for you.
Write down your self-care schedule. You can start with what day of the week will you take off from 7 Cups?
