Fun things to know about ChatGPT:

  • ChatGPT has a free option
    you can access at
    chat.openai.com
  • ChatGPT is really amazing

The new Bing Search (Bing Chat) now uses ChatGPT4!
The Chat button on Bing Search is ChatGPT4!

  • You can access Bing Search Chat
only if you are using an Edge browser at
    https://www.bing.com/Β
  • Then click the Chat button on the upper left.
undefined
  • Or click the new blue Discover button on upper right.

  • Choose a conversation style (creative, balanced, or precise)
Creative answers can be less accurate so
pick [More Precise] for the best chance
at getting an accurate answer! Β

  • Then go to the box that says
    ["Ask me anything..."]
  • Now Chat with ChatGPT4
as if it were a really smart person
who will do whatever you tell it to.
Tell it exactly in detail what you want it to do for you.
  • If the results aren't what you want,
then explain that to the ChatBot
so it can make the necessary adjustments
  • The end of video 2 above explains tips on getting what you want
  • Save the results by clicking the export button by hovering over the results box Β

ChatGPT can be used for many things, such as:

  • Getting very specific answers fast
rather than searching and reading web search results
  • Getting suggestions for all of your personal and work problems
  • Getting help writing emails and web posts
  • Getting ideas of all kinds, like when brainstorming or strategizing
  • Getting a very simplified summary of a topic instantly
  • Getting a list of pros and cons on your topic
  • Getting feedback on your writing and even re-writing it for you
  • Doing role-playing chats, like preparing for an interview
  • Getting explanations of concepts at your level of understanding
  • Getting mentored or tutored or coached
  • Getting your personal concerns worked out by chatting like chat therapy

ChatGPT has passed many types of tests and exams
(per Business Insider article click -> link) Β

  • ChatGPT has passed the WAIS IQ test (155 IQ),
    Uniform Bar Exam (90th percentile),
SAT reading & writing (93rd percentile),
    SAT math (89th percentile),
SAT total score (scored 1410 out of 1600),
    AP Exams results:
(scored 5 on AP Art History, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Psychology, AP Statistics, AP US Government and AP US History, and
scored 4 on AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and AP World History
    scored 3 on AP Physics)

Of course remember:

  • You should always verify the information you get from ChatGPT!
  • ChatGPT can make mistakes too, just like everyone else!
  • Pick the "precise" chat option to lower its creative "temperature"
  • Look out for ai "hallucinations" where it seeminly dreams up answers. Ai hallucinactions can be due to:
poorly worded questions, ai training and data labelling problems, ai data compression, etc.
  • Always consult a professional when appropriate!
