Being assertive means being able to stand up for yourself and what you believe in, calm and positive, without being aggressive, or passive aggressive. It is healthy, not bossy.
Being assertive helps you to solve conflicts without creating an unnecessary stressful situation. Communicating assertively can do wonders for your self-esteem and increase satisfaction in your relationships.
