In the months or years leading up to menopause (perimenopause), you might experience these signs and symptoms:

  • Irregular periods
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Hot flashes
  • Chills
  • Night sweats
  • Sleep problems
  • Mood changes
  • Weight gain and slowed metabolism
  • Thinning hair and dry skin
  • Loss of breast fullness

I have all of these but my GP insists I'm too young for menopause. I'm 42 this year

@JuicyPear. There is a transitional period before menopause called peri menopause which can last for years.  I went through perimenopause in my 40’s. My gynecologist was able to diagnose me with it.
