quietHemlock50008 what an amazing name they gave me

This is the first post from this old sad lady who used to be such a happy and giving girl. What happened? I grew up and made friends and lost friends and had dreams, some fulfilled, others broken. Then I loved and lost, and lost again and again, and then lost to death. Oh, dear, time goes so quickly, and the sun does not shine every day, but when it does rain put the buckets outside to catch the rain and be ready for the drought. Thank you 7 cups it's time to put the kettle on.

This is like a poem, I like reading your post. Even though you call yourself a sad lady, the happy and giving side of yours shines through your writing. Glad to encounter you.

"I grew up and made friends and lost friends and had dreams, some fulfilled, others broken. Then I loved and lost, and lost again and again, and then lost to death."

Sounds like a perfect description of my life story, too ❤️

"and the sun does not shine every day, but when it does rain put the buckets outside to catch the rain and be ready for the drought."

It's funny, but I try to look at it the other way round - sometimes when the time is tough, I use to think: "Oh, the tougher it is, the more sure I am something really nice is waiting around the corner" 😆

Welcome! I'm in my late 40s and can relate to a lot of this! Especially grief.

I'm a listener here, too, so feel free to message me if you would like to talk.
