Hello everyone,
I'm Dewey and new here! I'm male, 46, fulltime carer to disabled parents who live with us, a house husband (I'm gay) and on top of this I'm a full time university student doing a Psychology and counselling degree. This app seems like a great resource and the advice on improving listening skills is very useful and good! I'm glad I joined here and hope I can help contribute by becoming a good listener. My time is limited BUT I will try to be as active as I can! Best wishes!

Hi, I'm Katrina, and I am here because I am struggling to move past a relationship that was emotionally, verbally, and sometimes physically abusive that has left me with very few supportive people in my life, in financial ruin, feeling hopeless and untrusting regarding future relationships, and struggling to move on from stubborn indignation. Well-meaning friends tend to minimize what I went through and are quick to just tell me to get over it. I'm hoping for more understanding and thoughtful support here!

@Heather225 My name is Renitenn (a nickname lol) and I'm a 21 year old college student who's struggled for a long time with mental health. I'm diagnosed with ADHD and undiagnosed ASD, Anxiety and OCD. I joined 7Cups last year because I was trying to work on myself and figure things out, but I never really connected with anybody and eventually, I deleted my account.
Since then I've been able to work on a lot by myself but I wanted to come back because I feel there's times where I still need help or somebody to talk to. It's also because I think I'm afraid of seeming vulnerable or I'm afraid to be open with people? Like I'm typing this, and I want to delete it and just leave, but I'm trying not to. So, yeah. That's me 👋

Hello, I am Chanali (pronounced h-aw-nuh-lee) and I am the proud jewish mother of 5, voracious reader, and not so silently in recovery... again. I have battled mental health and addiction struggles for 20+ years but didn't really start working on healing hardcore until about 6 years ago. I lived in denial for a great deal of time. Now I am working on staying on top of things and being the best mom I can be.
