How I found 7 Cups of Tea

I was running out of options, trying to find some sort of therapy that would work for me and that I could afford. I was becoming quickly frustrated at the lack of therapists in my area and the outrageous fees that they charge. I needed to talk to someone, anyone, very badly one night when my depression was overwhelming me and I typed in "free online therapy" into Google on a whim and found this site. I started playing around with it and had a few conversions with listeners that did serve to help a bit. I decided I wanted to become a listener myself. It's very rewarding, helping other people. And I think it offers some insight into my own problems to talk people through theirs. It's a win/win situation.

@Lorelei333, thank you for sharing. I'm glad to hear that this community was of such help to you! I'm proud how you managed your own situation and by focusing on active listening skills, you've gained tools on solving your own issues.

Also, thank you so much for supporting others in need of the kind heart. Wishing you all the best!

@Lorelei333 Similar to me in that I also typed "free therapy counselling" into Google and if I'm honest I didn't think it would come up with much of anything at all. 7 Cups came up in the search. I looked into reviews of the site and it seemed a great place. I have only been here 3 days but so far it has proved to be amazing. I am loving it here.

I think it's great that you trained to become a Listener. That's excellent. Good for you smileyyes
