Coping With The Holidays
Hello.
I just joined because I need someone to talk to during the Holidays. The Holidays have always been hard for me. They are a reminder of how I can't connect with people. I can't talk about this with anyone because I don't want to bring them down.
Anyone out there that have similar feelings?

Hello and welcome to 7 Cups 😊
It looks like a similar subject emerged somewhere on the forum several days ago, and today I've had some reflections on that. I think I don't like holidays, since the time of my secondary school or longer, because they destroy the routine of everyday. And that routine is making me safe and comfortable.
I believe there are no "wrong" feelings and you have the right to feel what you feel.
Also, I think I can understand your attitude to holidays quite much.
But what you do with these feelings might be a different story: you may just accept them as they are, you may question if they are based on facts, or just come from the fears inside you, or you may start to desire to make changes.

I hear you how the holidays can be difficult for you, especially when they serve as a reminder of feeling disconnected from others. It takes courage to acknowledge these challenges.
I do feel the same sometimes you can surely connect and talk more about this
@unassumingStrawberries3772 Ik how it feels being all alone and having no one to talk to. Feel free to reach out to me, I'm here for you!
@unassumingStrawberries3772 the holidays are a weird time ever since I've been on my own. 3rd x so far but I have never really been able to truly celebrate
