Where to leave site feedback?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question...
Recently the site added a "feature" that displays an alert whenever you successfully post something. It is a little ... disruptive ... when posting to multiple threads quickly (like with word games) π¬
Is there somewhere to leave feedback?
@lauren387
Hi--the community/tech teams aren't very timely/consistent when it comes to responding to feedback (or acting upon it), but there are a few options you can try:
1) Submit a help request
Link: https://help.7cups.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Steps to reach this page if you don't have the link (at least on the web browser version of 7 Cups):
1) Click on your profile picture at the top right
2) From the drop-down menu, select "Support & Feedback"
3) Click "Submit a Request" at the top right
2) Tag the 7 Cups community account in a post
https://www.7cups.com/forum/SiteUpdates_100/CommunityInformation_742/Reintroducingthe7CupsCommunityAccount_229879/1/
3) Create a thread in the Feedback forum

@QuietMagic - Sorry I forgot to say thanks for the info π€¦ββοΈ π
@lauren387
No problem! π
@lauren387 I agree! And it says saved - saved to where - for who and why?
Sorry - lol had to throw my two cents in :)
@mytwistedsoul - Yes! If a confirmation is really needed, it should be something you don't have to click on to get rid of, as it disrupts the whole flow. A better approach would be a small message that displays for a few seconds, and disappears on its own. You see that on a lot of sites and it makes for a much better user experience. Tbh, it is irritating enough to make me not want to post to the game threads anymore, lol. Games are meant to be relaxing, not irritating
@lauren387 I'm finding this out too lol. At first it was like - ok no big deal but it is annoying now. And if you reply like- here - it didn't subscribe me and it was frustrating me because I couldn't find the doggone thread. Some people are having trouble with voting things up too. So - Idk - they're so worried about people being censored here its starting to be a big turn off for me. I'm tired of being told what I can and can't say all the time
@mytwistedsoul - I have had a few problems posting in the past. I think due to a "false positive" in the censoring, routine? (Since the content was about recipes, nothing inflamatory, lol.) However, I am not sure how the new feature solves that particular problem π€ If anything, a message should be displayed when something *doesn't* post, for whatever reason - not when something *does* post as that much is already clear from the fact that you see the post appear in the thread π
I also find it a little annoying. I do wonder if it helps with posts being wiped out due to the censor? Going to test that below.
@AffyAvo Ah yes! Now I get an error message (although an uninformative one) and I can edit my post instead of having to start fresh.
@AffyAvo ooh finally a change that we've wanted :O maybe not fully worked out yet, but a nice step in the right direction. Not so much a fan of the popup for regular posts (and all the other forum issues lately ..), but at least it sounds like one nice thing is being worked on, thanks for thinking of that and testing it out!
@AffyAvo Lol - made me laugh imagining you putting down a string of cuss words π π
