What are badges for?
Sorry, I know this might seem silly, I just keep getting the notifications saying that I’ve earned one badge or another and I just ...?
@adequatelyInadequate
Don't feel silly for asking! There's no such thing as dumb questions!
Being awarded any badges here is simply 7Cups' way of firstly: congratulating you for completing an achievement of some type. Since there's many different types of badges out there, for a ton of different subjects and tasks, and such, so for example, sometimes you can complete a course or post something to the forum (etc.), and then suddenly earn a badge for it, without realizing it would earn you one.
Secondly, badges also appear on your profile to mark/display your accomplishments, achievements, and willingness to help and/or learn, whether that be through reaching a certain amount of chats, refering new members/listeners, or completing a course or quiz, etc. It also generally helps show other users your time spent deciatated to 7Cups overall! :D
You can also find more information of this topic by clicking on the "My Path" tab (on the top right blue bar), and both the "My Impact" and "Training and Certifications" pages will provide more you with more personalized info on your earned badges and trainings!
Hope this helps <3

Sorry, quick correction: under the "My Path" tab!
For Members, this tab will display pages including: "My Progress", "Personalized Paths", and "Self-Help Guides" (you can earn badges by completing the guides). But there's also some miscellaneous badges you can earn all over 7Cups too!
The "My Impact" & "Training & Certifcations" are only Listener-specific pages (but they still provide a lot of helpful info too, and are also a good learning experience anyway!).
@MaeveTheBrave Hi! I happen to have another question... I was looking under my certifications and I would like to complete at least Active Listening 1, but it says I haven't got the listener oath badge. How can I get it? Thanks!
very much so. @MaeveTheBrave
