Turn off automatic emojis?
Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to turn off smileys and stuff automatically turning into emojis. The emoji it turns into usually gives a very different feeling then intended, so I find myself avoiding them which is a little annoying. It's hard to convey tone over text so I like using the good ol' colon-parentheses and other such things to help with that.

@BlueberryMuffin162 7 Cups does not support turning off the automatic conversion.
You can cheat by copying and pasting ː (triangular colon) instead of : (colon). For example, ː) will not be converted.
You'll also need ; (Greek question mark) instead of ; (semicolon), so that ;) will not be converted.
Using Ȣ (capital O and U combined) instead of number 8 ensures Ȣ) and Ȣ| are not converted.
ᐸ (the syllable pa or ba in indigenous Canadian languages) can be used instead of < (less than) so that ᐸ3 is not converted.
But of course having to copy and paste special symbols is possibly more annoying than the conversions 😬

i tend to do opposite way. like (= )=, or you could leave gaps, : ) : ( etc.
