Icebreaker
Hello everyone! Here’s an icebreaker for you all. If you could time-travel to any historical (or futuristic) era, what time period would you go to and why?

When President Barack Obama was elected there was a palpable demonstration of pride in the black community. I live in Minneapolis. Back then especially directly after his victory-the silent roar of hostility on the bus was replaced with smiles and mutual courtesies exchanged across the racial divide.

I would like to go to the 18th century to see how people lived in their everyday lives in the United States.

Because we know how miserable most of human history has been, I think I'd prefer to go about 10,000 years into the future. By then, things have either become really great—utopian by our standards— or they will be terrible (post-apocalyptic, or back-slid into an earlier stage of human history). Either way, it would confirm huge anxieties I have about human progress, and either way I'd get out of this post-industrial nascent cyberpunk dystopia.
@kieran000 probably like 20 years in the future since that would be really cool I want to see if it became better or worse, and I also have some questions for my future self I would like to answer (including the lottery numbers)
@kieran000 I would travel just 3 months into the future at this point. Lots of other ideas but right now I just want a picture of the upcoming future for good reason.
Medieval England is one choice for me. I think I'd really like to go back 10 years, though, and spend more time with my papa before he passed away. Good quality time.
I would want to travel to the egyptian times when the pyramids of Giza were built and see all the now ancient cities and temples and find out where all the raided tombs and mummies are
